Good value for money hotel. Basic facilities but clean and better than we expected for a bargain price .breakfast could be better ( butter better standard cold meats )but perfectly adequate.would stay again

Great room.... Excellent location

The hotel was so rundown we did not stay. Had to pay a 50 pounds deposit which we were ttold would take 30days to refund. My wife was so upset we had to find an alternative hotel. I spent a further 300 pounds. The hotel is nothing like the description. Will not be using this site again.

Pros: polite staff, breakfast included, 10-min drive to central Liverpool, warm rooms, parking included and generally a good option for a one-night budget stay. Cons: wouldn’t want to stay longer than just for the night, deposit on arrival is a pain, no hot breakfast food, and the shower plug hole was backing up with water.

Rooms as always very clean and comfortable. Shower and bathroon very good. Great to have breakfast included. Basic but enough. Just wish theyd provide butter rather than margarine/spread

The pillows were very soft and there weren't enough of them. The shower didn't work, and when it did, the pressure was very weak; the water would stop flowing and then come back on a little after five minutes. The bathtub was very slippery; my partner slipped on it. There were two pointless shower screens, and you had to hold one of them to keep it from moving. It wasn't very clean either. The heating was set too high and you couldn't adjust it. They have free parking, but it's very small, and you have to park your car on the road. I would not come back there.

Excellent Hotel

Had a lovely stay at the Mountford. Great transport links to Liverpool city centre. Really warm and friendly reception on arrival. Cleanliness and comfort were fantastic. Room decor a bit dated but fantastic common rooms and would absolutely rebook in the future. Great value for money compared to other hotels too.

Clean basic comfortable room but very dated. Breakfast was ok. We paid £140 for a saturday night which seems a bit much for what we got. Sunday night was £41 which is more reasonable. Reception check in was friendly and welcoming.

Great staff very polite and helpful. Easy check in. Room was spotless and spacious but dated. Bed was comfortable and we both slept well. Nice bathroom and hot shower.

Cozy place Nice service

Manager didn't smile, ask about our journey, or indeed anything resembling a welcome. The room was cold and had to ask to put on the heating. The bath doesn't have a plug and never will have, because we were told that guests drain all the hot water! As the shower us an over bath shower, it is very awkward to use and imo should be replaced with a stand alone shower. The lights in room are very dim with low wattage bulbs and therefore very difficult to read. Other than that everything was fine!

Et svært hyggelig opphold. Jeg bodde på hotellet i 2 netter og opplevde et meget hyggelig personell, sjarmerende omgivelser og et komfortabelt rom som i tillegg var svært stille. Alle mine forventninger ble mer enn imøtekommet. The Mountford Hotel kan anbefales!

After being welcomed and booked in, we were shown our large, clean and warm room. The hotel was a very lovely building, the staff were extremely helpful and polite, especially George, who made us feel very welcomed and at home during our stay. The breakfast would have benefited from a few more warm options to eat, but this was already communicated to us before we booked. Overall, our stay was such a great experience and we have already made plans to book a room, next year.

Lovely and friendly staff. Good variety at breakfast buffet: meats, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, fruit, bread etc. They need a coffee machine - Rooms and bathrooms were large.

Very clean and comfortable. Great location. Free parking Close to the area we were visiting. Our 2nd visit/stay and we will chose here again. Great to have a breakfast included which is perfectly adequate. Just wish there was real butter rather than spread

This is the 5th time we have stayed at The Mountford and once again 10/10 We travel down for business and always use this hotel as it’s great. Nice big rooms, comfortable beds and the whole hotel is spotless. They do a continental breakfast which is great. Parking on sight or very safe on the street outside.
