Lovely location on the seafront. Beautiful artwork in the common parts of the hotel.

Room dirty, leaking water from toilet, dirty towel,twice given dirty cups in restaurant fried eggs hard one day ,hard poached eggs 2nd day, had cereal next day!

Lovely hotel right on the seafront. Great breakfast too.

Staff was so helpful with bus routes, travel advice. Breakfast was great. My room was beautiful.

We had a free upgrade to a seaview room which was lovely (apart from the unfortunate seagull poo down the middle of the window - a hazard of being right on the seafront). The room was light and airy, nicely decorated and fairly modern compared with the little corridor which was in the middle of being worked on. Great views over the promenade, and it was pretty quiet compared to some seaside towns we've stayed in. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Cold buffet had plenty of cereals, juices, yoghurt and fruit, but no pastries. Hot food was via order. Full english - my teen wasn't impressed with the bacon, sausage or mushrooms. He had a slice of toast delivered with mould on but that was replaced with no issues. There were a lot of hot specials choices. My smashed avocado was ok - the poached eggs were perfectly cooked, but the toast was burnt. On other days we stuck with the american pancakes with berries and maple syrup which were delicious, and scrambled eggs on toast - tasty granary bread, and the eggs were really nice. Spot on for eggs of any type. Staff were all friendly and helpful, and front reception desk service was always fast. We paid for ultra fast broadband, but struggled to connect, then dropped out a lot. Speed test was only 4-5 mpbs. Don't bother paying for it, basic wifi was usable. Shower was cold - couldn't get it to warm up. But thankfully 3rd morning was warm. Lovely stay overall, and we'd stay again as the location was brilliant with free parking

An old fashioned beach side hotel with wonderful views and a decent dining room. It’s a little aged but still charming.

Beautifully decorated old building with lovely view of the sea from the dining room. Very close to the Promenade. Excellent food in the restaurant. Wonderful hairdresser and massage therapist businesses located in building. Friendly very helpful staff. Dog friendly. I had a wonderful relaxing time there and will return.

Very helpful reception staff. Really went above and beyond. Wait staff pleasant. Meals excellent. Varied menu options. Room very comfortable. Hotel well situated. No complaints.

The room was boiling hot no way to control the temperature, you could hear everyone’s movements so it’s a noisy hotel but staff were friendly and welcoming

Staff were very friendly. Bedroom had some damage on the wall and some dust on the ceiling, but bedding smelled fresh and bathroom was clean and warm. Had a Philly cheese sandwich, a bit disappointed with it but dessert was very good (coconut pannacota)

The service was very slow most of the time . The staff are young and friendly. The decor in the bedroom is tired along with the furniture. Windows quite draughty . Downstairs is impressive and modern .

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, nur durch einen Strasse vom Strand getrennt. Das Personal war freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Betten bequem. Das Hotel selbst ist ein altes Gebäude, dem man seine Jahre hier und dort ansieht. Man bemerkt, dass aber investiert wurde. Das Frühstück war soweit gut. Mit hat der Aufenthalt gefallen.

The hotel is clean but it all needs updating. The rooms are big but a mis match of furniture, and two uncomfortable and grubby tub chairs. The bathroom was huge but very neglected. It could have a huge walk in shower instead of a bath tub. The breakfast buffet was very limited, no pastries or crumpets. Not even a selection of milks. No fresh fruit. The cooked breakfast was nice. The staff were all friendly. Wouldn’t stay here again
