Decent hotel stay, but missed the mark on a few key areas.
The hotel was clean, the room was clean… great start. The pool was a lot of fun and also clean and well-maintained.
We booked the 2 Queen bedroom with pull-out couch. My husband and I are used to sleeping in our Queen bed at home. We tucked the kids into their beds, and crawled into our bed after a long day. We very quickly realized the bed was more like a double than a queen. Not the end of the world, but super disappointing to be told we had a queen bed and plan our sleeping arrangements accordingly. Two adults in a double bed made for a very restless and uncomfortable sleep.
After a rough night, we proceeded to the free breakfast in the lobby. The choices were odd, one hot tray filled with sausage and hard boiled eggs, the next tray filled with scrambled eggs and more sausage. We travel frequently and see other hotels provide potatoes, bacon, etc on top of the eggs and sausage. There was an area with an assortment of oatmeal toppings (nuts, cinnamon, chocolate chips, coconut shreds)…. But no oatmeal?! The employees working the breakfast area seemed to be holed up in the work area off the breakfast area having private conversations and leaving the dirty tables and not filling the empty for containers.
Would I stay again? Maybe. I’d definitely be looking at other options first. My priorities for a hotel: clean, good beds, half decent breakfast. This hotel managed to hit 1 out of 3.
