We received a call the day before to say we were the only guests staying in the Hotel that evening. So given a code to get in “spooky” but we went for it! No breakfast, but no problem. We were given a code to get in. Room at back overlooking the bins. The room ended up being warm for a change. Bathroom cold as the radiator timer was turned off until am. A little nervous being the only guests. Bed linen good quality and bed comfy. Shower a bit iffy! TV worked on this occasion. Towels ok. Didn’t really feel part of the hotel experience but hey ho. Will stay again.

Awful manager, horrible customer service. The hotel had a function that lasted until 11:30PM attendees shouting an going up and down the halls. When I discussed this with the management, they said that they had not exceeded their bar license hours and as such the guest was not due any apology, compensation, or otherwise. Truly a horrible hotel in a perfectly lovely little village. Strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Lovely room. Tv didn’t work. They supposedly sent someone to sort it but it never worked other than very broken picture, so impossible. WiFi very hit and miss. Just kept dropping out every few seconds. Otherwise enjoyable stay.

A nice stay. Clean room, comfy bed. Shower was great. Television not working properly…. picture kept breaking up. Also it would be good to have some heating. Nice meal in the restaurant with friendly staff.

This was a lovely stay. Room 16 was beautiful and had the most sumptuous bathroom! Great breakfast and friendly team members.

Great staff, well looked after at dinner and breakfast. Nice size room (1) but noisy from the Kitchen below. Food was excellent.

I liked everything about it except the after hours experience. The emergency (after hours) number should be posted outside the building for guests locked out after 10 PM. It was only good fortune that got us back in the building.

Central location for exploring the Cotswolds, Bath and Stonehenge

Absolutely fantastic hotel. Very understanding staff.

Lovely hotel with very comfortable clean rooms with a spacious bathroom. Lots of snug areas to sit in and chill or read. Great breakfast in the morning with attentive staff. A very pleasant experience. Very central plenty of car parks around. Would definitely use again.

Beautiful hotel, room was gorgeous - we had the four poster. The staff were super friendly and food was excellent - we will definitely go back.

Very good stay. Very nice well appointed room. Couple of small points. For breakfast the cooked food was excellent but thought there could be a bit more in the buffet e.g. fruit/pastries. Also our room was right above the out of hours entrance so there can be some noise from people returning late plus deliveries take place right outside the room so we had the pleasure of a noisy beer delivery around 7am. We ate in the restaurant one night and food and service were very good.

Lovely little hotel not for the faint hearted getting up to the second floor but worth it Lovely room/ bed very comfortable … only criticism no biscuits to have with a cup of tea …

Very brief, but enjoyable

The tap in the bathroom made a dreadful noise after I used it and it kept going for hours after, dreadful sleep in a very uncomfortable bed, shame as room looked lovely

It was an absolutely amazing place to stay and eat. The staff were fantastic, very helpful, and friendly. The food was amazing, and everywhere was spotlessly clean.

Second stay here. Great place - lovely room; delicious breakfast and great location in centre of town. Will stay here again.
