Room 39 nice, view of trees and carpark, very comfortable and quiet. Enjoy free parking. Windows in the Restaurant were filthy, shows up when very sunny. Otherwise hotel very clean. Breakfast was ok, plenty of choice - had an Agency Chef (info via Reception) not good at taking our/other Patrons breakfast requests. Reception very helpful. Would recommend local Indian Restaurant Rasoi for dinner.

The stay didn’t start well with a small, hot noisy room but luckily Andy went above and beyond and changed our room to a larger, cool and very quiet room which was delightful. All the staff we encountered were lovely.

Beautiful stay and good food. Room was spacious, bed was comfy and the room had a coffee machine in which was a plus! Would stay again

We booked a superior double room for one night. It was wonderful for a quick weekend getaway. Staff are friendly, and spa receptionist is lovely, and the spa itself was clean and easy to navigate.

Lovely boutique spa with great sauna and steam. Quality meal at the restaurant. Beautiful big room with great black out curtains. It was so quiet.

Perfect location, well maintained property, nice and large parking. Quiet and cozy room. The staff in the reception, restaurant and room mates are so friendly, professional and make the stay unforgettable! The SPA area is very well maintained, clean and the staff is perfect! Warmly recommended!

Excellent standard of hotel. Near to town but with all important parking.

Didn't like that we couldn't control temperature in our room. We also couldn't open the window all the way to cool down the room at least at night. It was too warm with not enough air circulation. Property is lovely and breakfast rooms are well appointed. Breakfast was good and beds were comfortable.

The hotel was nice overall, and the restaurant was superb. However, the customer service at the reception was not to our satisfaction at all. We had booked a “Deluxe Double Room, 1 King Bed, Garden View”. If you see the room photos and description (as shown in photos below as well), they suggest that a shower/tub combination is available. However, when we got there, neither a tub in the room (for which we were very excited), nor even a tub in the bathroom was provided. When we took it to the reception, instead of trying to change our room or provide other means of compensation, he just simply said I cannot do anything for you and you must have called the hotel to confirm if the room you had booked was actually available, and not just trust the website!! This was indeed a misleading advertisement, followed by a poor customer service. I have put actual photos of the room for evidence of the absence of what was advertised on the website.

The carpet in the room was stained, and the kettle had a buildup of limescale.

Beautiful hotel with attentive staff. Good sized room with everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. No complaints at all. 10/10!

It was a comfortable night's stay however, disappointing that the shower only ran cold water!

We really enjoyed our time at Stratton House. Room was nice, great views of the garden and a very, very comfortable bed! Close to town so you could walk in and some great pubs nearby.

The room was clean and comfortable enough but very basic, not sure if there was a faulty fire alarm but it went off at 10pm and 5am which ruined any chance of a relaxing sleep, so would not stay here again. When asked at checkout if the stay was okay I mentioned about the fire alarms and they brushed it off. Additionally we struggled to get a parking space at the hotel.

Room was excellent with a very comfortable bed! Bathroom was nice and clean. View of the garden was really nice. Parking plentiful. Only pain point were the two flights of stairs with luggage.

Stay at hotel great. Brilliant with dogs! Reception and staff generally extremely helpful. Sadly cannot say same for Hotels.com. Booked room with note I had two dogs. Contacted some time later bye Hotels.com to say I couldn't have dogs in that room and they apparently couldn't get Stratton House to agree to move me to a dog friendly room. ie I had to lose my deposit. Called Stratton House directly myself and they moved me with no issue at all and didn't charge me to move rooms. Would visit Stratton House again but never use Hotels. com again!
