Quiet and safe surroundings.

Very nice accommodations. Comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, and close to the Interstate. Eat at Joe's Pizza a block away!

This was the best hotel, my wife and myself have stayed at in several years. Very clean and well taken care of. We will stay here at our next trip back to the area. surprisingly under-booked for it's location, between Effingham and Vandalia.

It was conveniently located and affordable.

Don’t ever get the side of the building that faces I70. We had to listen to large trucks rumbling along the highway all night long. We have stayed here before but on the other side with none of the noise issues. So be sure to ask.

Nice place to stay

This motel was fairly quiet, very clean, and comfortable. Staff is professional and friendly. Breakfast was typical for complimentary but also included lots of coffee flavoring options which was great!

Was clean, quiet, hot showers and good breakfast definitely would stay again.

The Good: Very nice and clean. Friendly staff. Decent enough hot and cold breakfast options. Walking distance to a nice gas station with almost anything you’d need to get through the day, a McDonald’s, Subway, Dollar General and Italian restaurant. The Bad: I stayed on the 2nd floor that was facing the interstate and it was pretty loud. I can say that I didn’t hear a peep inside the hotel from other guests but the traffic noise from the interstate was kind of annoying. You must know that if you need an uber or Lyft, you are out of luck as of February 2025. I literally went back and forth between the two apps for 3 straight hours trying to get someone to pick me up and nothing. It’s definitely a dead area for ride share. I even googled local cab companies and despite there being a few listed, they seem to be more interested in fighting with their past customers on Google reviews than answering their phones. I would definitely stay here again but would be sure to ask for a room facing away from the interstate would be my biggest thing.

Great

Clean and spacious rooms. Bed was comfortable and the ac/heat worked well. Bathroom clean. Left too early to get breakfast, but had good coffee on the way out.
