Great hotel with amazing views and great food

We arrived late after getting lost hiking in the dark, then being unable to get the car out of the parking lot. Dinner was over, sidewalks were rolled up, and we were starving. Had we asked for leftovers (dinner smelled heavenly) am certain they would have helped us out. That is how lovely these people, and their lodging, are. We had food in the car, and ate in the comfort of a large, beautiful room over-looking what we discovered was a peaceful, serene lake. We would stay there again n a heartbeat.

Das Zimmer war schon aus einer anderen Zeit, aber egal. Was mich am meisten störte war das trotz mehrfacher Anmerkung mein Wasser im Zimmer zum duschen kalt blieb. Das sollte doch mindestens gehen. Naja, nie wieder das Hotel

The staff were friendly and the location is ideal for local attractions, with convenient parking. I cannot recommend the single room however. Located in a high-traffic area, next to the guest entrance, kitchen and common area, there is constant noise and smells in the room. There is also a rotating leaflet stand directly outside the room door so you would regularly have fellow guests standing within your doorway, chatting loudly. The single small window opens onto the car park and bins. The room itself was in poor condition, with filthy walls, dusty surfaces & damaged furniture. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable, clearly having seen better days. Not worth the price paid and very irritating given how obviously poor the room condition was.

Var på besøk til Neuschwanstein slott og bodde her to netter. Dette var ett utrolig koselig og sjarmerende plass! Paret som driver denne plassen var utrolig imøtekommende og koselige. De serverte kjempegod frokost. Kunne gjerne bodd her igjen

Unique property in a beautiful location. I found some of the staff to be unfriendly and unhelpful. I would not stay here again.

This was a beautiful property with a wonderful restaurant on site. The area is beautiful and allowed for amazing sunset walks around the lake. The couple that runs the place were very kind and provided assistance with taxis and such

Schönes, modernes Zimmer mit großem Balkon und Aussicht auf eine bäuerliche ländliche Umgebung. Sehr ruhig. Sehr freundlicher Service, beim Frühstück wird bestellt, und alles frisch geliefert. Direkt am Forggensee gelegen, mit Restaurants und Badestrand. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Haus ist schon älter, die Einrichtung auch, aber zweckmäßig. Ich hatte ein Einzelzimmer und das Bett war neu. Das Frühstück bestellt man auf einem Bestellzettel und ist ok, kostet aber 15€ extra. Die Lage ist super, direkt am Ufer vom Forggensee und nur ein paar km von den Schlössern entfernt. In Laufnähe ist auch ein Super Restaurant. Für ein paar Tage und den Preis OK.

Die Umgebung war super. Der Hof ist schön idyllisch.

Herrliche Lage am Forggensee, gemütliche Zimmer, echte bayerische Gastfreundschaft. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

The property was part of a farming community very close (short walk) to the Forggensee. The room was awesome, the area was very quiet and provided a country atmosphere. You could see horses and cows right from your room. The meals at the restaurant at the hotel were very traditional German dishes. The meals were as good as any we had on our entire trip. The walk by the Forggensee was quite enjoyable. The staff were helpful and spoke English. Access to all the popular tourist sites in the Fussen area was within 45 mins. You could see the Neuschwanstein Castle(Schloss) from the hotel. There was local bus service close by. We travelled two weeks in Europe and would rate this our favorite hotel.

older hotel, no elevator. Not staffed 24 hours per day. Shower had lots of HOT Water! breakfast was very good. Good location to access Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau.

The hotel was old fashioned style-surrounded by farm land and a small lake- very nice setting! The breakfast was great - would stay there again ! 👍

Opholdet var ikke fint for kloakken fra badet var tilstoppet så bade kunne man kun i 1 minut før at det løb ud på gulvet. Værelset var placeret ud til plads med ryger bord så åbent vindue var ikke muligt. Generelt ikke acceptabelt da aften festerne også blev afholdt der med støj det meste af aftenen. Som silver medlem var det ikke en god oplevelse samlinger med andre gode ophold.
