Excellent. Right behind Dogo Onsen. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere, best hotel I stayed at. Restaurants a little pricey though.

I felt that the Yamato Ryokan is

The place exceeded expectations from the very beginning where you are greeted at the front entrance. The lobby is large with many tables and seats while waiting for the checkin process. The tatami room was clean and large with a great view of the mountain and Sakura trees. Before dinner a short walk down the hill takes you to Dogo Onsen and small shops. The Totoro shop was a fun place to visit. Then eating a small mochi stick with green tea added to the experience. There were many other snack shops but had to hold back to prepare for the big kaiseki dinner. The kaiseki dinner was beyond spectacular with intricate dish designs and wonderful taste. The Noh play during the meal added to the pleasant dining atmosphere. The Onsen was compact with both indoor and outdoor baths with reasonable temperature of around 43C. There was a small wooden bucket for washing was a nice touch instead of plastic buckets which is common at other places. Overall, this was the best ryokan I have stayed at. Highly recommended.

客室、温泉が広くて贅沢な点がよい。また、無料のドリンクや駄菓子コーナーなど、気の利いたサービスもグッド。チェックアウト後も12時まで車を預かってくれる点もありがたい。

食事、温泉、接客、立地共に、想定以上のクオリティで満足しました。

높은 가격에 맞게 서비스나 음식이 훌륭합니다만 로비에서 커피나 음료서비스 등이 부족함

旅館の雰囲気が良く、みかんジュースの蛇口や朝食ビュッフェ等魅力的なものが多かったです。 露天風呂は2箇所の格差がデカすぎるのがちょっとどうなのかなと感じました。

온천 외엔 너무 별로예요!! 가격 대비 낙후된 시설과 너무 맛 없는 식사 등.. 다음에 다른 호텔로 가야 할 것 같어요!

An old but well-kept traditional Japanese style onsen ryokan with great amenities and professional services

一人旅です。 スタッフの方々の近過ぎず、遠過ぎず。 雰囲気もよく、生活に必要なもの全てに手が届くようなそんなお宿でした。 お部屋にマッサージ機があり、一人でじっくり使わせて頂きました。

Utmärkt hotell, fräscht med bra bad och frukost. Vi var inte så imponerade av middagen; ät den någon annanstans.

Traditional accomodation. Just what we were looking for. Comfortable futons, and a well appointed room.
