I recently stayed at the Monville Hotel, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows that ultimately left me disappointed.
We arrived around 3:40 PM for our scheduled check-in at 3 PM, only to find that our suite was not ready. The staff member at the front desk seemed dismissive, as if our arrival was an inconvenience. After waiting until 4:05 PM, we finally got into our room—a full hour after check-in.
Upon entering, I was surprised to see that the room did not resemble the suite I had reserved based on the online photos. It was a very basic room, lacking the features I anticipated. When I called down to confirm we were in the correct room, the staff member assured me it was a suite but seemed uninterested in checking further before hanging up.
While the room was clean, several issues stood out: the toilet paper was half-empty, one towel had a rip, the coffee machine was leaking, and Kleenex wasn’t replenished during cleaning.
One highlight was the ability to have food delivered via a robot—a fun feature! However, this service was inconsistent. On the first night, I successfully arranged for pizza delivery to our room, but the next night, a male staff member told me they couldn’t send it up due to "not having access to the room," which was confusing given the previous experience.
Overall, the staff needs improvement in customer service and communication. The inconsistency regarding food delivery and the rudeness of some staff members left a sour taste.
