The building of the hotel has an old fashion Costa Rican vibe, room is clean and basic. Like the garden and the pool. No elevator though. The breakfast was made by a lovely lady in the kitchen right beside the lobby, that give me a feeling of visiting a friend’s home.

Beautiful pool, fantastic Breakfast!!! Definitely recommend traveling in June- Felt like we had the well place to ourselves. it was located near the beach so perfectly. Staff took amazing care of us and the AC was crisp. Only room for improvement would be the shower since we really didn’t have much water pressure!!

Loved being surrounded by the jungle. Short walk to the beach. Good air conditioning. The staff were friendly and kind. The cooked breakfast was a nice treat. The staff offered portable "beach" chairs, but they weren't really beach chairs, more like chairs used for an outdoor concert. We were expecting Tommy Bahama style beach chairs. This was our only disappointment.

Clean, good breakfast, good location, great value

Super cool small place with GREAT people. Everything was clean, the pool and shady area was great, and the amazing flora around the property is beautiful. The LOCATION was the best, situated at the end of a secluded street with almost no traffic and the beach literally a 2 minute walk around the corner. The staff were very kind and happy to help with anything.

We had an amazing stay here! It was very clean and well kept. The room was very nice, with a nice bed, shower, and AC. The staff was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast selection was also delicious!

This hotel is located in a busy city, but you would never know this hotel is definitely a hidden jam and a five star standard for Costa Rica and 4 star to Canadian standards. Thank you for a great day.

Villa del Sol Boutique Hotel is a little taste of heaven. It's beautiful, quiet & peaceful, all in it's own immaculate garden/pool environment and only 1 block from the swimmer friendly beach/bay. The staff are very helpful and polite and the tasty breakfast is served in a relaxing and welcoming dining room. I loved it and would definitely stay there again.

Limited breakfast was the only food option. No restaurant, no snack bar, no drinks available. Room was just a room, nothing special. Beach was a block away. Uber was cheap but a definite must. Staff was very nice. Pool needed cleaning. If you like a hard bed, you’ll love it!

The staff were very welcoming from start to finish. We loved that the beach was only a 3 minute walk from the property and that the pool was well maintained. Rooms were clean and peaceful and the breakfast each morning was delicious. We rented a car, but the downtown area was only a 10 minute walk from us with many dining options nearby. This was a great start to our trip!

Villa Del Sol was the perfect place to unwind—peaceful and relaxing, yet ideally located just steps from great restaurants and the beach. Nice breakfast and fantastic staff. Short distance walk to restaurants and a market. I would stay here again.
