Best views, great hosts, and the most comfortable accommodation in Tassie by far! Loved the personal touch and thought put into this place. Wish we stayed longer!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hillside. The location is lovely, the room was a delight, the hosts Jane and Doug were friendly and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious. We would love to come back to Tassie and stay again at Hillside. We think it is the best B & B we have ever stayed in, and we have travelled extensively.

What a delightful place to stay ! Our room was quiet & spacious with a gorgeous view of the Huon River & was extremely comfortable with everything you could need from bathrobes to an iron & ironing board. Breakfast was provided by our friendly hosts Jayne & Doug with lots of delicious options including fresh produce from their garden and freshly baked pastries. Breakfast is served in their beautiful gardens or inside in the comfortable common room. Perfect !

Amazing place to stay, no matter what the weather. Owners are very friendly, the husband greeting us with an umbrella to minimise the impact of the rain. Comfortable, clean and centrally located between tourist hotspot Cygnet and country town of Huonville. Overlooks Huon River and on a clear day, one could see the Hartz Mts. Would highly recommend Hillside for your next holiday.

Good room facilities and excellent water views. However, the advertised 'full breakfast included' is extra [continental is free]. Very limited internet access - most sites [finance; news; travel] unavailable. TV reception patchy or unavailable some channels. Very dangerous driveway on blind bend in 100km zone. Impossible for large vehicles internally due to extremely confined parking. Could hear discussion from room next door. Would be better value at a lower tariff.

It's a great pity I could only stay for one night, as the total experience was exceptional. From the incredible welcome by the owner, the guided tour of all the amazing facilities, to the detailed description of all the intricacies of the brilliant inclusions in the gorgeous 'River View' suite, it was a truly exemplary presentation of a stunning property. The garden was immaculate, the room was cosy, comfy and welcoming, and... I didn't want to leave.

This place is excellent, magnificent view, clean and comfortable room, cozy garden room with log fire, a short drive from Huon Valley Town Centre. Jayne and Doug were the perfect hosts, we felt like home there. Highly recommend!
