No air con in the rooms. Hottest day of the year and only 1 small fan to manage. Service was brilliant though, food was great! Would stay again but not in the summer even though the grounds were stunning for a summer evening walk. Sleep in the room was poor, windows did not open properly either to allow air flow

Beautiful historic mansion. We walked thru nearby parks to the riverfront for lunch. The outdoor restaurant at Orange Grove was very pleasant for an evening dinner and happy hour. The admiral lounge is very comfortable while waiting for pickup to go to the airport or cruise ships.

Hôtel atypique, chaque chambre est différent, certains chambres au Rez sont proches de parking staff avec bruit des voitures tôt le matin. Mieux pendre une chambre à l’étage mais pas d’ascenseur. Grande parking gratuit. Emplacement isolé en ville et relativement calme. Personnel à l’écoute et réactif.

The staff were absolutely amazing and couldn't have been more helpful. The building is fine but needs refurbishment. The breakfast was delicious and the gardens very attractive.

Booked "dog-friendly room" (it's handy to have that description in the room information when booking as otherwise I'd ring the hotel before booking to check if dogs are ok in room we're booking, so thanks for that). Note that £30pn is charged on top of room rate for a dog. It was a premium room, so had a lounge area with tv (Disney etc) & separate bedroom area. All very clean and comfy. Keiran was very welcoming on reception and offered to book us in for breakfast. We arrived late and no food was available after 9pm which was ok as we'd popped into a supermarket nearby on the way. Slept well until the groundsman woke us up strimming the grass outside our window at 8.30am, however we enjoyed our stay so much we booked a 2nd night. Hotel is extremely dog friendly as are welcome in 2 areas of breakfast/restaurant rooms and in the bar. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Bar closed at 9.30 one night when we went for a night-cap but they did open to serve a drink to take back to the room. Lovely grounds so plenty of walking from the door. We paid £15 on to the bill for breakfast (hot drink, juice, one choice from menu). Full English & veggie version were freshly cooked and very tasty . We'll stay again if we get the chance.

The hotel was lovely and the staff friendly and helpful! It's really hard to find a dog friendly hotel that are so relaxed about actually bringing dogs! Especially as our puppy is a big boy and sometimes, due to his bread, people are cautious of him. But the hotel were great and didn't make us feel nervous or "in the way" at all. It was a lovely stay.

It's a very old building with only stairs but staff was more than pleasant adverse helpful. They bought our luggage up to our room and then even brought it back down I highly recommend this place.

Staff were excellent. friendly, helpful and happy to go the extra mile. Wonderful setting.

Breakfast is really expensive for what you get

Dog friendly room was clean but very basic and tired/worn looking even for a dog friendly room. Missing the basics like a mirror in the bedroom & maybe a coat hook by the front door. However the hotel itself was fantastic, set within beautiful grounds. The staff throughout were excellent & very welcoming from check-in to the bar staff to the restaurant staff. The food in the restaurant was incredible & reasonably priced too. We would definitely return.

Great location lovely accommodation really lovely staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them Whole place was spotless clean. Very professional good car parking lovely outside space.

Building and setting were glorious. Staff were very helpful. Basement studio was clean and potentially great, but slight damp smell, blinds were useless and shower was broken.

Quaint, but without all the downsides that quaint can be in England,--highly recommend. Staff was great, food and service very good. Only 'bug' was having to carry bags up 3 floors to room.....again highly recommend

Spacious suite, well heated, very helpful staff. It felt more like being a guest in a grand mansion than staying in a hotel.

Did not cope with the heat pump noise, kept my wife awake most of the night, would not book the basement room again, mostly because of the steps, but, yes will come again, only a different room, staff were very helpful and friendly, thank you
