Had a lovely stay in beautiful Florence. As others have said the property is tired and not the cleanest. There is a service charge but using Expedia this was clear and paid up front with no hidden costs. The air conditioner leaked into the property below but the management company took responsibility for this. Location was excellent, the premises spacious and for the price (as we booked early) was unbeatable. One caution, don't book if you struggle with stairs. 6 flights up with no lift. Carrying suitcases can seriously harm your back.

UGH! It started with the unpleasant discovery of a $70 cleaning charge on top of the rental fee. This came as a surprise because it was buried way deep in the listing (especially on the mobile view), frankly making the leading misleading. It also was a blow because we only paid $139 for the place, so that fee was 50% more!! Note: Hotels.com has been entirely unsupportive in helping us address this fairly. As for the space itself, it's in a great area of Florence; rooms are spacious; internet worked well; two of three air conditioning units worked very well. But... 1) There was a terrible smell in the kitchen. GROSS. 2) Everything looked clean, but 30 minutes after showering, my feet were filthy on the bottoms from walking around the apartment. 3) The beds are not queen-sized, but single beds put next to each other. There is no extra cushion to fill in the gap between the beds. 4) The mattresses were terribly soft and flimsy. 5) Unless you're getting a lot of natural light in on a sunny day, the rooms are VERY dark. There's enough light to do what's necessary, but it makes for a really depressing feel, much different than the (heavily edited) photos. 6) The unit is on what Americans would consider the 4th floor (3rd for Italians) and there are about 60 stairs. This was fine for us, but would be a problem for many (and is not mentioned in the listing). This could be a really great space. What a shame. Think twice about the space and Hotels.com.

Superbe emplacement qui fait oublier tous les autres petits désagréments. Dommage que sur 6 chaises 2 sont complètement éventrées, qu'il soit pratiquement impossible de cuisiner même de déjeuner correctement vu l'état et le nombre des ustensiles, qu'il n'y ai pas de kit de ménage (éponge, torchon,pdt vaisselle) . Un peu d'entretien et cet appartement serait un rêve pour visiter Florence désagréments

Door opens and shock! Narrow opening & my family of 4 did not fit on 1st platform. The man motioned for us to go up the stairs(very narrow). I asked for elevator & he said no elevator. He said we were 4 flights up. Heavy Luggage &couldn't make the width up. No emergency exit. The climb looked like the inside of Statute of Liberty. I have a bad knee, no way could I do this up & down. Shocked! Will never use Hotels.com again. This is not a hotel without a front desk as advertised. My son called it a trap house. It was late. I only regret we didn't take photos for all to see.

Sparsely furnished. Older cabinets and furniture. Could use some TLC.
