Clean, nice staff, easy to get to

오로라를 볼 수 있는 해변가에 가까워서 밤 하늘을 보고 오로라가 뜨면 나가서 볼수 있어 좋았습니다.

It was great service

The hostel was nice. It is right by the ocean with Mountain View’s / city behind it. Easy to get around. Bathrooms were a bit dirty but over all I enjoyed my stay.

We loved the location infront the sea, the shop next door and the atmosphere. We hihly recommand this very nice place to stay in Reykyavik.

Amazing hostel with reasonable prices. Had an upgrade from 42 bed to 6 bed at no cost.

There is currently construction going on around the building but the hostel provides free earbuds as a solution! However, I wish I had known in advance. All good, the stay was decent regardless.

Employees were nice, the room comfortable, and the hostel was clean. It was a perfectly decent place to stay. I do feel a bit bad I didn’t check out properly, I nearly missed my bus to the airport. Heads up that the FlyBus is picking up a handful of blocks away until the renovations at Kex are complete

Nice Hostel, sometimes busy and noisy, but earplugs provided. Too little kitchen facilities when school classes present.

mein erstes mal in einem hostel. es ist noch in der umbauphase, also überall wird gebaut. hilfe und informationen der angestellten der rezeption ist einfach top, definitiv. andere angestellte, daumen runter - man sah wie "gern" sie dort arbeiteten!

Very nice and cheap hostel! Perfect for the price, nice and clean. Under going some construction at the moment so excited to see it when its all finished. Would recommend.

Reception was on the 2nd floor and there was no elevator.

Lovely place, although their were under refurbishment so there was no bar or restaurant available. The bathrooms are very dark and smell damp. The property doesn't seem to be cleaned often, many times I used the bathrooms they were dirty and overflowing with toilet paper. The kitchen was also not very well looked after, it could be more stocked with essential items like mugs and cutlery. The 49 people room is well divided so it doesn't feel like there are that many people in there. My only coment are the metal lockers that make A LOT of noise even if you try to be quiet, so that's not ideal in a room so full of people.

Great amenities

This review would be a 5 star if it wasn’t for the renovations. There was no bar, no restaurant and noise from the renovations during the day. I would definitely come back one their done. The location is awesome as well.

Stayed in a mixed room. A decent hostel that will get you through a couple nights. Entire place including room smelled like food. Beds are fine although curtains are terrible and don't cover the entire bed length. Plenty of lockers and storage. has a burger joint right in front of it.

The location is perfect for watching the northern lights and grocery shopping/dining, taking the bus.

With the exception of a few friendly staff, we found the people working here to be passive aggressive. The majority of the hostel is under construction and doesn’t offer the amenities listed on Hotels. I would consider other options than this. Pictures don’t match the current condition.
