Only a brief visit but I slept well, the shower was good and the room quite spacious.

La propiedad en general está bien, pero usan varios trucos para hacerte pagar mucho más por tu estancia, que a cualquier viajero incomodan. Te dejan un hoja donde hábilmente te hacen pensar que hay un desayuno "gratias" y otro de pago, el de pago cuesta 15 libras y es pequeño, el problema es que esperas a que empieces a consumirlo que parece un desayuno gratis y al final te cobran 10 libras por una corn flakes. El segundo trucos es que la propiedad tiene un pequeño parqueadero en la parte de atrás, bastante rustico, y al momento de hacer el check out te informan que vale 10 pounds por día, pudiendo uno parquear en la calle al frente del hotel de manera gratuita. Son detalles que dejan ver la mala fe con que actúan los dueños para sacarte tu dinero, pues solo anuncian todos estos cargos al finalizar tu estadía o cuando ya has usado lo que claramente parece gratis.

The staff was friendly and helpful when we arrived. She helped us with a dinner reservation and advised us on some things to do in York. The hotel was an easy walk to the York city wall and the train station. The room was lovely. Do book the delicious breakfast. It is plentiful and will get you ready for a day of exploring!

The overall are very good, for me personally I like the high quality bedding and bed sheets, they are made with mare cottons, my body is not too good with polyester or other non-organic material.

Lovely place to stay. Room was spotless. You could tell entering the room that the couple who own the property were truly passionate about the hotel. Nice little extras like biscuits/chocolate/shampoo/shower gel. Nice selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Hotel in a nice location - 1 mile walk from train station, quiet nice area near race course, but also close to City Centre

The room was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor. The staff were really helpful and welcoming I would definitely stay here again when visiting York.

The house was lovely and clean, Alison could not do enough for her guests and made everyone feel special. I would highly recommend, its close to town but quiet in the evening. Thank you again Alison for making our trip to York a memorable one

Lovely room. Clean, tidy, and a comfortable bed. Regular buses into town. Also a reasonable, safe walk into and back from town.

This guest house is nicely situated near to the Knavesmire and York Racecourse and also within walking distance of the walled city of York. Our room was comfortable and bright and the staff, including Allison, were very attentive. Paid parking is available but we were able to park in the road outside the guesthouse without charge.

The location is ideal for York racecourse or the city centre. Good welcome on arrival, friendly staff, lovely clean room and a fantastic breakfast. Would highly recommend

Brilliant service, lovely room and top notch breakfast

Room was nicely decorated and clean, however much smaller than we were hoping for considering price we paid without breakfast. Bed was nice and comfortable and parking on street was available. Only an overnight stay so only met a staff member on arrival to receive key etc but was friendly enough.

The hotel was very clean and cosy and the staff were very welcoming!

Beautiful little property, we stayed in room 1 it was very nicely decorated, comfortable king size bed and easy check in. Would definitely stay again!

No real complaints but very dated, very old tv, don't pay for parking you can park outside the front door for free. £455 for two nights add £20 to park and £60 for breakfast adds up to very expensive for a very dated room.

Room is amazing for families. The bunk beds are cleverly tucked away in a corner. Alas the bathroom is a failure. Damp and smelly. All the more frustrating given it’s freshly refurbished but the open shower area sprays water all over and the floor doesn’t drain away. So disaster and dampness ensues. Smell is awful. As a minimum the floor needs relaying.

Comfortable and adequate. I didn’t stay for breakfast .
