This hotel operates on a slightly hands-off, self-service principle, which took me a while to grasp upon arrival fully. However, once I tried things out, everything worked perfectly for my needs, and I was happy to stay there.

What a fun place to stay! Hotels in the West End of Toronto are limited and we were in town for a wedding so we booked the Westlake. Each room has its own vibe. We had the beach room which was super fun. Parking is limited, however we got there early and were able to secure a spot. They advertise an adult only hotel yet I did see children in the hotel and since there is no one at the front checking you in. There is no real way to monitor this. We would stay again if we need a hotel in the West end of the city.

This property was great for the price comparatively to other hotel options. There were multiple coded doors for safety. The hotel room itself was clean, had a microwave and fridge! The bed was comfortable and the dual shower heads were a nice touch! It is a fairly easy drive to get downtown (there is traffic but that’s expected in any big city). And there are options for public transit as well! This hotel is located near multiple running trails. Would very likely stay here again!

Beautiful funky decor and nice bathroom but worst bed ever. Need a new mattress and pillows, something for hanging clothes (had to buy a rack), and better kitchenware

It is a self served hotel in an ok sector of town. The coffee machine was also broken. If the price would have been right it would have been and ok hotel. I am desapointed by Expedia in this case, promoting hotels who charge more than the advertised price on expedia.

I have stayed here multiple times. Each time in a different room and they’re all so cute. The convenience of staying in the west end and being able to take the GO train in to the city is the main reason I choose this property but it really is great which is why I keep coming back.

Good place, shady area. Only complaint about the room is the towel rack in the bathroom feel off its mounts. The mounts were installed upside down so it will continue to happen until installed correctly.

The Westlake is a unique property, well-located if you don't want to pay high downtown prices, yet be close enough to get downtown via a short drive or public transport. The rooms are well-appointed with all necessary amenities. Our room was spacious, decorated in a fun, cheerful style. It is a very quiet area despite being on a main road. I've never experienced a virtual front desk and self-check in before, but communications from the property were excellent, timely, and accurate, making it easy to access the property and our room. My one comment would be that all rooms are accessed by going up a stairway, which was not obvious when I booked, and not fun to schlep our bags up. Other than that our stay was great.

They had good furniture and a cool room concept

Only spent one night but have been before. It’s a cute, clean, quiet hotel close to the city with parking (when other guests don’t take up multiple spots). Stayed in the beach suite and it was spacious with a comfy bed. It was very quiet because it was at the back of the hotel but lots of natural light. A couple maintenance things but nothing major. Will definitely stay here again.
