Great location and good for one nights stay. Lovely hosts.

Of the 13 nights we stayed on our recent trip to England, The White Hart was the poorest. Not that the room was tiny (the bed took over half the floor space), but there was no room for anything else. The door to the room was against the bed when opened. And opened it had to be, since the room was stuffy with no fans provided. The open window would give you the aroma of food being cooked downstairs in the kitchen. Re: the staff. Young kids running the place. Eager, but not really helpful. We did eat dinner there; the food was fine, and the outside seating did help us enjoy the meal. We were walkers; so an early breakfast would have been nice, but the place was still shut/closed when we took an UBER over to Lewes, in order to eat and continue our journey. We also worried that there was no one to hand our luggage over for the luggage transfer company when we left. If staying in Ditchling, try the nearby BULL instead.

We couldn’t check, picked up the key around 7pm then came back around midnight and we could not check in as we had the wrong key

Tired accommodation, needs an upgrade, sheets were thin and one had a hole in. The bar is quirky but overall not a brilliant experience :(

There actually was not a breakfast. However, the hotel includes a charming pub where we enjoyed an excellent pub lunch. As a whole we very much enjoyed the White Horse Inn. Our room seemed a little small and we shared a bathroom. We did find a restaurant within a short walking distance where we enjoyed breakfast.

I was well looked after by the staff, who went out of their way to be helpful and booked a very reliable taxi service on my behalf. Lovely village and a good set of church bells! Would stay again.

It suited my needs well, everything i needed for a one night stay. It was a little cold in the evening and i couldnt control the heating, but it came on in the morning. No toiletries on offer, however for the price i paid it was bery good value

The staff in the pub were nice, that was the redeeming factor. Otherwise I would not recommend staying there. The pictures are misleading. Room 5 (large) on the booking page is tiny. The towels and bedding were cheap and bad quality. The wardrobe was a glorified small cupboard. There was one tiny bedside table. The description on hotels.com says that breakfast is available which is not true. They did not inform us that the kitchen closed at 6:30pm on Sundays so we had to go elsewhere for our dinner. Overall, it was disappointing and we will not stay there again but we made the best of it.

It was absolutely excellent. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Check out and check in was super easy. We got our own entrance and exit which was a nice addition. I would absolutely stay here again

Everything was very clean and lovely and the bed was very comfortable did have a good nights sleep.,plus good choice of food but they didn't serve breakfast..no worries there's a couple of very good café that do.

The room was small, but comfortable and clean, the bathroom was perfectly adequate. The staff were inobtrusive and very accommodating and the location was peaceful. Parking wasn't a problem and I would love to stay here again.

Window broken. Four corners needed to get to the bathroom. Tiny room. Church bells through the night. Stifling room.

The bed was comfy. The bathroom wasn't very clean and the cupboard had fly poo in it. There was a hole in the box around the toilet. There was a container behind the toilet catching a leek

Comfortable room, clean bathroom if your in the front of the building be warned the beautiful little church opposite chimes four times an hour every hour 24 hours a day !

My stay was good although confusion on checking in as there was no record that I had paid a £20 deposite. However I sorted this with the member of staff. Upon entering my room it was still in a state of preperation and the bed was not made or any sheets and the bins were still open. No issue as the member of staff who showed me to my room did the honours and made the room up. This was very helpful.

Old and tired. Dirty. No private bathroom or Towels Parking limited to max 3 cars
