The rooms could use an upgrade. Old. Carpet in sitting area old. Bathrooms very old! Tubs and showers had built in dirt. Old black sink. Just didn’t feel clean. The food was not good! We opted out of last dinner and breakfast and were told no refund which was fine until I asked for just coffee instead of breakfast and was told it would be extra. So I said “fine, just put me down for my paid breakfast “. That threw them for a loop! Asked upon arrival if any food options near because dinner wasn’t for a few hours and we hadn’t eaten. The staff member told us there was a Family Mart we passed. Said it was a rural area. Like an idiot, I didn’t bother to google. Returning back from different direction the next day, we discovered there were restaurants and shops less than 10 minutes away by walk. Had dinner there! Personally wouldn’t recommend.

The onsen was lovely ! The private hot tub we booked on our first night was so hot we couldn’t get in. But we the view !!! All worth it. Our first ryokan and quite the experience.

The staff was amazing. Helpful, welcoming and very attentive and professional. The chef accommodated food allergies and we enjoyed the meals. Ensen was relaxing and wonderful. Thank you for a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Staff were very attentive, and the meals were masterpieces, both dinner and breakfast. We really enjoyed the rotenburo in the room as well and the futon was very comfortable.

The hotel was really nice, the hot tub in the room was great, we did not use the public baths so I cannot comment on them. Food was great, good variety and exceptional service. The only negative thing was the towels in the room were very bad, thread bare and worn, totally different than everything else at the hotel.

I spent one day and one night at this gorgeous place for my trip in Hakone, the stuff were friendly and helpful, they explained every details to me patiently and guid me to my room upon arrival, the room was spacious with a private pool at balcony facing the mountain, it was a shame that I didn’t reserve my dinner but the breakfast was delicious as I was served with traditional Japanese food, it’s a wonderful stay and I am looking forward to coming back.

We had a great stay at Aura Tachibana. The staff were exceptionally helpful and we really felt looked after.

【全体】 　スタッフの方々の対応がとても素晴らしいかったです。車で訪れましたが、駐車場につくなり、スタッフの方が迎えに出てくれ、荷物を運んでくれるなど、サービスがとても行き届いていました。2泊しましたが、（わたしの印象では）宿泊客の8割くらいが外国の方のようで、顧客対応の点からも、外国人のスタッフが多かった印象です。（外国人スタッフの方々も、とても丁寧な対応をされていました）。サービスの良さが際立っていました。 【施設】 　私たちは車だったので問題ありませんでしたが、かなり高台に位置するため、箱根湯本の駅（繁華街）までは、かなりの急勾配の坂になっていました。そのためか、往復ともに、ホテルの方でバスを回してくれるようで、足腰に不安のある方も安心だなと感じました。 　新館と旧館があるようで、私たちは旧館に宿泊しましたが、設備自体はやや年季が入っているような感じでした。とはいえ、きちんと整備されリノベーションされており、清掃も行き届いているので、大きな不満は感じませんでした。 　まだ寒かったので使われていませんでしたが、二階のレストランの外側（バルコニー）と、屋上にオープンエアーの飲食スペースが有り、暖かい時期でしたら、とても気持ちよく飲食を楽しむことができそうでした。 【食事】 　今回は食事2食付きで予約しましたが、食事付きで予約を入れておいて正解でした。朝晩とも、とても手の込んだコース料理のような和食で、とても美味しかったです。（朝食は2泊目は一泊目とは違った献立にしてあり、飽きることもありませんでした）また、箱根湯本の町（繁華街）のレストランは数が少なく、（平日だったこともあるかもしれませんが）早い時間にしまってしまっている店も多かったので、外食をするよりも、ホテル内の食事で十分に満足できる水準でした。 【次は】 温泉付きの部屋のある新館のほうに泊まってみたいと思います。「また来たいな」と思える良い滞在でした。 　

Staff was very friendly and kind. The breakfast was really a top notch. The onsen in the balcony was amazing. The hotel is huge. There was nothing to complain.

Everything was 10/10. Amazing experience that I will never forget. Make sure you do half board because the food is phenomenal.
