All excellent except for Wifi signal, a bit too weak

An amazing experience to live and breath the pure Sicilian’s roots. The staff and service are remarkable. The Villa unforgettable.

The property was clean, but basic and a little rustic. It was a peaceful country experience with lots of birdsong and frogs sounding in the valley. If you want peace and quiet, this is it. It is a bit off the beaten track south of Caltagirone, a very charming town. We were the only guests in the early season, so Michele and his wife cooked just for us for one night. The food was incredibly fresh and flavourful and really from the farm. That was a wonderful experience. The service was very friendly, and Google translate was a help in communicating.

Very pleasant. Beautiful farm, comfortable room and good breakfast. Only downside was it is difficult to find!

Not possible to get any dinner, and dog barking all night so hardly any sleep. Not possible to buy any beverage either. Staff left in afternoon so all alone.

Fantastic meals and extremely accomodating hosts. Pool is great too. Highly recommended.

Very confortable room and vvery nice pool! Good situation if you want to visit Caltagirone or Ragusa and Modica. The owner it's very simply and helpful.

On a tour of central and Eastern Sicily we stayed 2 nights here just outside Caltagirone which is a lovely hill top city famous for ceramics. Casale delle Rose was recommended to me by friends and we were not disappointed. HOWEVER if you want hotel services and luxury go elsewhere. This is a charming working organic farm - if you want to stay on a farm that makes its own pasta from the wheat they grow, drink their own wine and orange juice and put their own marmalade on their home made bread whilst seriously relaxing and taking in the fantastic view then you will not be disappointed. They could do with some aircon in the rooms but other than that nothing but positive things to say...........and the owners, staff, people on the farm are simply lovely.

We hebben een geweldige tijd gehad. Alles klopte. Alleen een stortbui op de heenweg niet. De toegangsweg is wat smal en stijl, maar goed te doen.

It was a magical place to stay. The food was the best we had in Italy!!!! Ten stars

We were greeted by Valentino who immediately made us feel right at home. She personally brought us drinks to enjoy on our private balcony before dinner. The dinner was made fresh from the garden! All courses were delicious! The farming is extensive and well run. We highly recommend this lovely gem!

If you like listening to birds rather than cars or motorbikes, this is an ideal place. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice, and the beds are comfortable. If you stay here, you will want to have dinner at least one night. You won’t get food this good at a restaurant. Sorry we had only one night...next time I would spend a week!

Im Grossen und Ganzen war alles recht idyllisch! Schade, das Schwimmen im Pool und vor allem das Reiten auf dem Hof nicht möglich war, trotz Ankündigung und vorherigem E-Mail-Verkehr! Beim Frühstück hätte ich Produkte des Hofes erhofft, aber es gab süsses Gebäck ( ganz sicher nicht auf dem Hof hergestellt) ohne Obst, ohne Gemüse, ohne Käse ....

Nach abenteuerlicher Anfahrt über engste Straße und steilab verlaufende Schotterpiste haben wir das wunderschöne Haus erreicht. Sehr freundliche, hilfsbereite und lustige Gastgeberinnen, unglaublich leckeres Abendessen von Giacomo (2 Gänge sind voll ausreichend) und exzellenter Wein aus eigenem Bio-Anbau. Schöner Pool und sehr ruhige Lage. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und auch andere Touristen kennengelernt, mit denen wir beim Abendessen zusammen saßen.

A very pleasant stay here. Lovely location, food was excellent and service just as good. If your your looking for some time away from the hussel and busell of busy everyday life then this is the place for you. Staff were lovely and welcoming and I would definitely return

Genieten in alle rust. Vriendelijk personeel en excellente kok. Het eten is superlekker. Zeker een wagen nodig om de streek te kunnen bezoeken.

Rustige en mooie accommodatie in de natuur, met een heerlijk zwembad. De boerderij heeft een heel mooi binnenplein. De kamers zijn eenvoudig maar proper. Er is geen koelkast of airco op de kamer. Er is wel een gemeenschappelijke koeklkast in de gang die kan gebruikt worden. In de kamer hangt een ventilator. Wie in "Il Casale delle Rose" verblijft moet absoluut genieten van de kookkunsten van de gastheer. Voor een zeer aantrekkelijke prijs krijgt men er een heerlijk dinner voorgeschoteld. In de omgeving is er voldoende te bezichtigen, indien men over een wagen beschikt.

This farm supplies the restaurant, and the cook is 73 year old dad. Reception is usually one of 2 friendly young women. As I remember, dinner was good, and the room comfortable. I enjoyed walking around the property and into the orchard, hearing the cow. I could see that much work is underway. Some were disappointed that the pool was not yet available (late May). The roads coming to the property from both directions are narrow, not unusual in Sicily (and Caltagirone was a real challenge). The wifi worked well.
