Surprisingly bad

Valet and staff were excellent. Property seems to be showing age, bath was leaking, sink faucets as well. Unfortunately piece of broken glass left on the floor next to the bed (cleanup from previous guests not as thorough as should have been). However staff very courteous and apologetic when informed of situation. Room of a good size and nice view on the square.

The Staff and facilities at the Hotel Birks were fantastic. They were very attentive to our needs and gave great suggestions for nearby places of interest to us. We highly recommend this hotel and look forward to coming back soon.

Le personnel est très courtois La décoration de la réception, grandiose. Les chambres sont bien, mais pas d'un chic exceptionnel, mise à part la salle de bain plus haut d e gamme. Le gym très minuscule était fermé.

Great stay as usual

Beautiful hotel. Our room and all amenities were very clean. Staff very friendly. They have delicious food at Henry’s restaurant. Room service was excellent as well. The young lady and guy at the front door helping with luggage and greeting people were very helpful, and provided excellent service.

The room was cold at night, couldn't adjust heat, it was extremely dry. On my last day I asked to sit in the restaurant near the entrance and was told by the young girl that was reserved for the staff even though it was empty. Weird. Also on Thursday night they closed the bar at 10pm and I had to take my drink to my room.. it was not a great experience for a place that holds itself as high end.

Door between rooms is thin and we could hear people having sex all evening keeping us up and then again early morning. Breakfast and room service was not available before 9:00am the next morning. Not the most pleasant stay. Not sure I'll be back.

Beautiful hotel!

We recently stayed at this hotel and while the property has a cosy atmosphere, our overall experience did not fully meet five-star expectations. One of the highlights was the location, which was excellent and very convenient for our needs. However, the valet service was disappointing. After requesting our vehicle through the app in advance from our room, we waited approximately 25 minutes after arriving downstairs, which felt excessive for a hotel of this caliber. The bedroom experience was also affected by noticeable noise from the elevator, which could be heard throughout the day and night and impacted our comfort. In addition, the room lighting was limited, and the TV remote was not functioning properly. At checkout, the attendant apologized for the delay and offered to waive the valet parking fee. However, valet was already complimentary during our stay, so the gesture did not meaningfully resolve the issue. While the staff were professional, the overall welcome did not feel as attentive as we have experienced at other five-star properties.

Rooms are always spotless. Service is always warm, friendly and helpful. Fantastic location as well.
