We had a tough situation at The Malcolm. We were placed in a 4th floor room above outdoor 2nd floor construction. The noice levels were high, but that wasn't the only problem with excessive disturbance coming from the workers at the site, loud swearing that was continuous, a speakerphone call with an angry partner also. I called the front desk to describe the issues and they listened well however, once the work for that day was finished at approximately 730pm things were quiet until the next morning when once again the swearing barage continued....they evidently hadn't passed the complaint to the company completing the work. I'm not in the mood to spend for a beautiful setting in Canmore and be completely disrupted. I then requested that they make arrangements to switch our room.....which they did, so I had to immediately get up and leave from lunch after a great bike ride to move my wife and I's luggage so they could quickly clean our existing room for new guests....and we had a lot of luggage because we were attending a wedding for our daughter. Our new room was on the same floor and on the same side of the hotel as the construction, so it was a disturbance but not directly below us. And by all sounds of things the hotel must've discussed these compaints with the company working on the project.

Great location.

Room was clean. Staff were great. Outdoor pool was great. Breakfast top notch. The little details like clean windows in hotel and attention to the small stuff. Drinks left around after a function or possibly public just laying them down needs to be addressed. As well the hotel should have some bike rentals inside hotel for guests. As we were late booking. Other than that. We had a great time. And the housekeeping made sure we were well taken care of Thank you Brent Lorrie and Katie.

Just a tad noisy with construction.

An exceptional hotel. Spacious and well-appointed rooms, a comfortable bed, a hot tub / pool area with an exceptional view of the mountains, a fantastic restaurant and patio and ideally located in a quiet nook that’s only a 5 minute walk to downtown and minutes to Highway 1.

Beautiful hotel and very clean. We ordered drinks at the pool which was convenient and tasty . The onsite coffee shop was nice. We also had breakfast at the Sterling which was amazing! Highly recommend this hotel

The Malcolm is beautiful and perfectly located within short walking distance to downtown Canmore’s shopping and dining. Also within a short driving distance to other food, shopping, and Banff. The view we had from our room couldn’t have been more amazing - view of the creek and mountains. Highly recommended!

Very close to everything Cozy!

Amazing mountain views especially from the outdoor pool area. Lovely buffet breakfast available at the on site restaurant (check dates as vary seasonally). Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff.
