The location, location, location! Hotel is situated across the bay from Akureyri, 5km easy drive over the bridge. From the room or walk out to the patio, there is a magnificent view at the fiord, Akureyri with the mountains behind, view at river valley... Hotel is very nicely designed. Free parking. Room was super clean, breakfast included for the good begining of the day. Service excellent. Would stay again, highly recommend.

Das neue und eher kleine Hotel liegt auf einer Anhöhe und erlaubt einen schönen Blick auf Akureyri. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und die Betten bequem. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist aufmerksam angerichtet und mit guten Produkten bestückt. Wenn man das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis als Maßstab nimmt, gibt es wohl kaum Verbesserungspotential.

Vi var her to nætter. Dette var absolut ét af vores favorithoteller blandt de 10, vi har besøgt på vores rundrejse. Meget fine værelser med gode senge og to lænestole. En fin vestvendt terrasse med flot udsigt over bugten. Her er stille og roligt. 10 værelser. Det hele nyt. Morgenmaden var, som den skal være. Hvis/når vi kommer til Island igen, skal vi overnatte her. Vi har ganske enkelt ikke noget at udsætte på det

Sauberes, modernes Zimmer. Toller Blick auf Akureyri. In wenigen Minuten ist man mit dem Auto in der Stadt + die grandiose Waldlagune liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das Frühstück war absolut ausreichend. Wir wurden nett empfangen und nett verabschiedet- haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt.

Beautiful view. Convenient location. Near Forest Lagoon. Breakfast was good variety and fresh. Parking was easy. Room was very clean. Would have liked an extra pillow. Would stay again.

Wonderful stay with breathtaking views overlooking Akureyri and the surrounding mountains. The hotel is modern, spotless, and very peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring North Iceland. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully designed, and Tor who greeted us wonderfully was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious with fresh local options. Best strawberries and croissants we ever had. Forest Lagoon is around the corner so it’s a big plus. Also many dining options in the town which is only 5 mins away. Only problem you may have is that icy roads- especially the hill. Parking is plenty and free. A hidden gem with an amazing atmosphere — highly recommended.

The gentleman at the front desk was lovely and had a lot of wonderful recommendations. The small feel of the hotel was wonderful and the inclusion of breakfast was a huge perk! The view was beautiful and we were able to walk out our door and see the northern lights. Highly recommend!!!

Clean, basic and modern bedroom and bath. Basic but fresh and nice breakfast. Most amazing was the view of the fjord, bridge, and Akureyri.

Excellent property, clean and new rooms, and great breakfast. It was close to town, great view, and close to Forest Lagoon. We’ll stay here again.

Our stay at Hafdals Hotel was excellent. Awesome deck. Great breakfast. Outstanding place to stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Great large room with stunning view towards city. The breakfast was nicely set out and offered many options The host was most pleasant and helpful Would recommend this option as it’s not right downtown where parking is not easy
