Rating & Review Keseluruhan Wyndham Garden New Roads / False River

I was particularly pleased with the young lady at the front desk as well as the workers that were doing housework. All were very friendly and courteous!

There was no hot water in the hotel. The lady at the desk told me there was no hot water until the next day.

Remote didn't work, even after changing batteries. Had one light burnt out on the desk lamp.

The two rooms we booked were not cleaned thoroughly. One room had sunflower seed shells on the floor, a bug in the sink and one in the closet (roach, water bug). The other room had used shampoo and soap in the bathroom.

Nice place to stay

Check in person was very nice and accommodating. Room was dirty, I killed three roaches in the first 5 minutes I was there. Receptionist did give us another room, which meant we had to move all of our thing and settle back in. Arrived in the next room with the tv blaring, no towels, no blow dryer, shampoo or soap. The beds were made but that was it. I don’t even want to think about if they were clean or not. I’m pretty sure it had been a while since the blankets were changed. I do a lot of traveling and this is not the first time I have bees disappointed at a your Wyndham hotels. I thought I’d give it another chance. It was terrible, and I will never stay at any of your Wyndham hotels again.

Bathroom and entry floor was mopped with something that left an oily residue and was sticky. This made the bathtub VERY slick. Everything else was perfect.

Light bulbs were burned out. Bath towels were wet. Breakfast was good.

Awesome Stay

It was an easy place for us to stay on our annual trip to the Angola prison rodeo. The room did have an unpleasant smell so we used an oil diffuser and that took care of it. The Mexican restaurant by the hotel is very good

This hotel is in transition between 2 company. Faith at front desk was great, she was working with what little she had. Needs new sewer system, room flooded and was not clean, didn't sleep much

Staff were very friendly and helpful !

Tried to charge me extra funds even though I made reservations.

All good except all the laudry areas in the 3 floors where broken

It had a restaurant within walking distance that was really good. The checkin was not good, put us in a room that was not ready and was not supposed to be used. They did move us to another room down the hall, and the manager was friendly, however, during our stay I observed the staff was very complacent in their attitude. I will not stay there in the future, will try St. Francisville instead.

Room 314 had mold on the walls. Tables hadn’t been wiped down, curtains had something stuck on them. Went down and got another room, 301 which was pretty much the same. Wasn’t cleaned well, bath tub had hair in it and tooth paste splatter on the mirror.

Unwelcoming staff. Filthy fitness room. Light bulbs burned out on room. AC not working in room. Did not turn my room. No fruit on breakfast buffet.
