This was my favorite place we stayed in Italy. The property is immaculate and convenient to the city square. The staff were all so kind, professional, and personable. We loved the spa, the beautiful pool, the views, the cocktail bar on site. We will be back.

We had a marvelous stay with unbelievable staff experiences. They went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. One of your staff made dinner reservations for us in a very popular restaurant that was the highlight of our time in Cortona. And we very much enjoyed relaxing by the pool. Again the staff was always available for drinks and snacks. Would stay here again.

The staff are fantastic! Everyone is at your service with whatever your needs are. A historical gem with such rich history. We were in awe.

Incredible hotel! Beautiful location. Excellent food. Comfortable beds and bedrooms. Lovely little bar, excellent spa. You have to stay here and treat yourself!

We had an amazing stay at the monastero di Cortona. The property is absolutely beautiful and impeccably maintained. The pool area is lovely and the views are unbelievable. The staff was super helpful and attentive- gave us recommendations for restaurants (and made reservations for us) and helped us with what to see/ do in Cortona and the surrounding area. The room was perfect and although we didn’t use the spa it looked really nice. I very much enjoyed the breakfast each morning as well. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend it to anyone going to Cortona.

Maravilhoso, tudo perfeito. O Spa é incrível. Os funcionários sempre gentis e atenciosos. Quem for de carro, que vá de carro pequeno e faça a reserva do estacionamento, pois são poucas vagas.

This is a fantastic hotel. Wonderful staff, an out standing fine dining restaurant, comfortable rooms and nice garden with pool. Loved it and can’t wait to go back.

Great place to stay

“We just left Monastero di Cortona and honestly, we did not want to go. There is something about this place that gets under your skin — a 13th-century building that has somehow managed to feel like home the moment you walk in. The history alone is staggering, but what really makes it special is the people. Alessandro was everywhere — and we mean that in the best possible way. Yes, he is the sommelier, and he is outstanding at it, but he was also there at breakfast, leading the room, making everyone feel looked after. He is not just a wine expert, he is a true host. The kind of person who sets the tone for an entire property. And Simona — we kept saying she was the best person we encountered the entire trip. Just genuinely warm and present in a way that is hard to find.

All aspects of service are superlative! The spa, restaurants and bar are excellent. The location in Cortona is very nice. Historic features of the hotel are impressive, as is the restoration.

Hotel lindo, muito bem decorado, equipe atenciosa, café da manhã espetacular. Quartos amplos e muito confortáveis. Super recomendo. A garagem realmente não é tão fácil e indicaria ligar para o Hotel antes para avisar que está chegando e entender como proceder.

The property is beautiful, the spa is great and most importantly the bed and Bedding were fabulous! The rooms are large and very nicely appointed with a sense of calm and quiet. The staff very attentive and dedicated to our overall stay and well being! Alessandro in the restaurant & Simone,; Anna, Sara, Matilde at the front desk, Paula in the Spa and the valet staff helping with garage parking and luggage! Worth spending several days! . Dining was superior, fine dining at its best and delicious by Chef Michele!! COMPLEMENTI !!! The Omlies

Everything was perfect. Customer service was everything. The classic room itself is slightly small, but a lovely big bathroom, and we were hoping for a view but understandably that would be the deluxe room. We used the spa amenities and it was pretty good for the price - recommended after a day or two of walking up and down the steep hills. Overall we will stay again. It was a beautiful hotel with lovely people working there, filled with so much history.

After a rather "bumpy" start the great hotel manager Flavia and her young & local, a yet commited staff (Mateo, Mathilde, each of them) made my stay at Monastero a place to remember and plan to come back with my family. The building is fantastic, very well referbished with soft shades of white that it's a joy to experience the "dolce fare niente" by the pool, wondering around the laberinth and discovering great views of the countryside and the redish roofs of Cortona from different points of views. The indoor pool though small it's a plus to unwind on a misty day. 5 days at Monastero felt short! Grazie mille Flavia and staff. Local Amaretto and biscotti will make their way to Punta del Este, Uruguay and enjoyed with so fond memorias.

Fabulous hotel and very attentive and professional staff. Exciting history and luxurious amenities. Highly recommended! The only blemish was that our room had a view to the service road/entry and a wall. Not quite what we expected in an over 400-dollars-per-night room on top of a hill. It was a holiday weekend that explains a bit of the pricing.

Delightful place to stay in Cortona. Rooms were clean and comfortable, staff attentive and friendly, and breakfasts and drinks nicely done. I’d gladly return.

Amazing hilltop location, wonderful breakfast, two delicious restaurants onsite, heated pool, spa services, beautifully decorated throughout, great staff. Loved everything about it! Can't wait to go back!
