Given free upgrade as I was celebrating my birthday. Room was huge! All staff were lovely, really made you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Central location with parking provided so need to use the car once there. Would definitely stay again.

Easy check in .Room was comfortable and very clean .Some evening noise( music ) from Restaurant/Bar above but stopped at 2200.Food in Restaurant was freshly cooked and well presented. Free breakfast was far more than expected and very good quality . Stay was exceptionally good value.

Our room was beautiful with lots of space, comfortable bed and we enjoyed the little treats they had for us. The breakfast is great and we enjoyed a drink in the bar as well as a delicious meal. We would definitely stay here again.

Small, older stone hotel in a nice, quiet part of Stirling. Easy, safe parking in the rear. Hotel is fairly small but has a friendly neighborhood bar and serves nice dinner and breakfast in their restaurant. Bar and service staff are very friendly. The rooms are older but have been updated and are very comfortable and a good size. Like most hotels of this type, there are no lifts and have to climb curved staircase to get to your room.

Friendly staff. Shower needs some TLC...loose parts. Was booked in a basement room and it was a bit musty. However, quiet and good mattress.

We stayed one night to see Stirling Castle. The staff was very nice and attentive. Breakfast was delicious. We didn’t eat dinner there, but had sticky toffee pudding prepared vegan for my wife when we got back for dessert. It was very yummy. Only downside was the window in our room didn’t open and it got very hot and humid while trying to sleep. The room was a bit outdated, but that’s the trade off for the historic charm, which we appreciated.

Very dirty sourroundings. The hotel needs de-greasing, cleaning and paint. Garbage containers just outside kitchen open and attacked by seagulls and rats.
