Lage, Sauberkeit, Zustand - alles prima. Das Haus ist mit sehr viel Liebe und Geschmack individuell eingerichtet, Das Personal war jederzeit freundlich und zugewandt. Das Frühstück war überragend! Leider waren wir nur eine Nacht hier, aber wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Superb room for us as a family of four. Our toddler girls loved having their own little room, which was joined to ours via a small lounge area. Comfy beds, and a really tasty breakie. I'm recommending the hotel (and room, specifically), to all our friends visiting the New Forest or Peppa Pig world.

Our stay was great, food was delicious, room was clean and a lovely four poster, and staff were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful stay in old hotel that had kept to traditional values and furnishings. Comfy room, helpful staff, and excellent dinner and breakfast. Free parking on site. Forest walks started across the road.

The setting, the service and the food are simply world class. The decor is decent but the building is very old which adds to the quaintness but takes away from the functionality at times. But not to spoil an overall brilliant experience as the staff couldn’t be better and you won’t find a better roast dinner in the UK it is outstanding quality of the highest order. The setting which IMO should be a world heritage site is other worldly with beautiful horses donkey and deer roaming wild and at peace with man. Everyone should visit the new forest and why not the forest park hotel for an authentic experience.

Excellent facilities and staff. Many added extras. Lovely hotel in peaceful setting. Good for exploring the New Forest.

Great place, great staff and good value

Everything was good. Wouldn't mind staying again en route to Southampton as good value for money.

Second time staying in this hotel but there won't be third time. Room looked lovely despite couldn't open the door properly due to unevenly laid carpet. Had to ask someone come and re arranged the carpet. Around the windows and cabinets lots of dust balls. Lovely setting but I am sure there are others who would do better for the same cost.

Really liked the location, and the room was very good as well. Staff were great. We didn't use the restaurant but it looked very nice, and the decor was beautiful.

A 3 star hotel trying to be 5 star. Needs more variety in menu. Cold bedroom, needs additional bedding. Staff friendly and excellent service.

Lovely hotel with good breakfast.

I love it here! Everything is perfect. Beautiful hotel with amazing attentive and happy staff. Breakfasts are the best. They could do with turning the heating off in the day when its 20 degrees outside - this is more to save their company money.

Poor pillows - very hard and ‘compacted’ so softer pillows would be welcome. However everything else was excellent so would stay again

On the whole we enjoyed our stay in this lovely old hotel in a beautifully appointed room The staff were extremely pleasant and eager to please.(especially the Venezualan barman, receptionist,and spanish waitress) however the meal on our last night in the restaurant was spoiled by a 25 minute wait for our pudding. Obviously not enough staff either in the dining room or kitchen - not their fault ,.

Our stay was fantastic. The room was lovely and spacious and spotlessly clean. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, but the best part of our whole experience was the staff, who were all absolutely brilliant. They really made us feel so welcome. Faultless
