Such a lovely place to stay. I only did breakfast included, and found 2 lovely restaurants nearby. Very quiet, no bars or discos. I know the hotel had some events but I didn’t. The beach was almost private. Would def recommend if you want a place out of the hustle and buzzer.

Das All inclusive System ist verwirrend. Selbst mit all inclusive (blaues band) darf man nicht alles essen oder trinken oder die Restaurants besuchen. Alles muss extra bezahlt werden. Die liegen am Strand vor dem hotel sind nicht kostenlos, sondern kosten 8€ pro Tag. Die Auswahl an Essen ist Morgens am Besten, danach wird das Buffet immer weniger. Jeden tag exakt das gleiche Angebot. Der Pool ist von 10 - 18 Uhr geöffnet, die Leute stehen vorher an und alle Liegen sind direkt belegt. Handtücher gibt's an der Rezeption, für jeden Umtausch muss man 1€ bezahlen. Fitnessraum ist sehr klein. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wenn man am Abreisetag später als 12 Uhr abgeholt wird, hat man kein all inclusive mehr und muss alles selbst bezahlen. Sehr wenige Geschäfte in Laufnähe. Pools sind gut, wunderschöne Aussicht und es gibt jeden Abend eine andere Show.

Location is a bit out of the way from the main areas but that can be no bad thing. The views and beach location are great. Loved the rooftop bar and the staff were friendly. Only downside was the food which I found quite limited and repetitive. Otherwise everything was pretty positive.

It is a beautiful property! Waking up to the ocean view everyday was magical. The rooms and hotel were decently clean. The buffet food is okay, could use improvement. The hours of the bar and restaurants are quite limited. Not much options for a late night. The adult pool area and the jacuzzi was great! - the pool could use a heater as it was quite cold so not everyone stayed in for long. Our one major disappointment was it was our honeymoon and we advised the hotel resort ahead of time. They stated they noted it and they would do anything they could to make it a great stay, but nothing extra was provided - not even a simple treat in the room like bathrobes. It was just a bit of let down. We would have been willing to pay for extras if they were offered. Just would of added to our experience. Overall very nice location, hotel is steps from the beach. Just love being by the water and having water views throughout the resort.

I had a wonderful 3 day stay at the Benalma. The staff are warm and helpful—especially Ionela at the restaurant and Carolina at the front desk. The location is lovely, although it is about an hour walk from the downtown section of Benalmadena. If you want strictly rest and relaxation, this the place. My room was beautiful and comfortable, but with a fantastic balcony and view of the sea. It’s about a mile from the train station so you can take the train directly from the airport. I recommend getting an uber from the train station to the hotel if you have a lot of luggage though because it’s a 15 minute walk downhill from the train station. I recommend having breakfast at the hotel. The buffet is decent. The Mediterranean restaurant is great too. I had the freshest salmon I’ve ever had in my life there. There is also a pizza pasta restaurant and supermarket a block away down the hill and a few other restaurants nearby within walking distance of you don’t get all inclusive at the hotel. The only cons are the elevators. They are very small and it takes a long time to get one that isn’t full or going on the right direction. All the guests I encountered complained about the elevators. All things considered, that was one minor annoyance compared to all the pros. I would definitely stay at the Benalma again!

⭐⭐☆☆☆ (2/5) Wir haben mit All Inclusive im Hotel verbracht. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die direkte Lage am Meer, die sehr schöne Aussicht sowie die Rooftop Terrasse mit den Jacuzzis. Der Preis ist insgesamt in Ordnung. Leider wurden unsere Erwartungen insgesamt nicht erfüllt. Die Anlage war während unseres Aufenthalts überfüllt, wodurch am Pool (& Aufzügen) kein entspanntes Urlaubsgefühl aufkam. Leider enttäuschend war der Service im Restaurant. Benutztes Geschirr wurde erst nach dem Essen abgeräumt. Auch der Getränkeservice war kaum vorhanden. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts wurden wir lediglich einmal aktiv vor dem Essen nach Getränken gefragt. Das All Inclusive Konzept hat uns ebenfalls nicht überzeugt. Am Abreisetag wurden die Leistungen direkt nach dem Check out beendet, obwohl unser Rückflug erst später stattfand. Zudem kostet jeder Handtuchwechsel 1 €, was wir aus vergleichbaren Hotels nicht kennen. Ein weiterer Minuspunkt ist der Strandbereich. Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt am Meer, verfügt jedoch über keinen eigenen Strandabschnitt. Liegen und Sonnenschirme müssen daher zusätzlich bezahlt werden. Hinzu kamen Mängel im Zimmer. Die Toilettenspülung funktionierte nicht ordnungsgemäß. Nach dem Spülen lief das Wasser teilweise noch sehr lange nach. Wir haben dies an der Rezeption gemeldet, jedoch wurde während unseres Aufenthalts nichts unternommen. Insgesamt lebt das Hotel vor allem von seiner Lage und der Top Aussicht. Wir haben jedoch insgesamt mehr erwartet.

Der Ausblick dieses Hotels ist wirklich der Haupttrack hier. Mega. Genau so ein Moment, wo man morgens aufs Meer schaut und kurz vergisst, dass Menschen erfunden wurden. Der Blick ist wunderschön und sorgt direkt für Urlaubsgefühl. Allein dafür gibt es einen dicken Pluspunkt, weil man sich einfach gern auf Balkon oder Terrasse setzt und nur schaut. Das war für uns definitiv eines der Highlights. Das Personal war außerdem durchweg freundlich, hilfsbereit und angenehm. Man wurde nett empfangen, Fragen wurden freundlich beantwortet und man hatte nicht das Gefühl, einfach nur Zimmernummer XY zu sein. Gerade solche Kleinigkeiten machen oft mehr aus als irgendein schicker Prospekttext. Was allerdings leider deutlich verbessert werden sollte, ist das Essen. Die Auswahl war teilweise in Ordnung, aber viele Speisen waren oft nur lauwarm oder bereits kalt. Das nimmt dem Essen einfach viel Qualität, selbst wenn Geschmack und Idee eigentlich gut wären. Gerade im Urlaub freut man sich auf entspanntes Essen und warme Gerichte sollten auch wirklich warm am Tisch beziehungsweise Buffet ankommen. Insgesamt hat das Hotel klare Stärken: traumhafter Ausblick und wirklich freundliche Mitarbeiter. Beim Essen besteht aber noch Luft nach oben. Mit kleinen Verbesserungen könnte der Gesamteindruck deutlich besser werden.

Oh boy, where do I start? 1. Check in was a fiasco. We specified non-handicap room when we booked. The first room that Fernando, the staff who checked us in, gave us, was of course, handicap. When we complained, he gave us another room, which is again, handicap. We complained again and he offered us a non-handicap room but it would be bigger, according to him so there will be an upgrade charge of 15 euros per night. We said yes but the room was next to a door being constructed and dust was all over, from the door handle to the floors. Worse, the room was not made. We have photos to prove. Rosa of housekeeping told us another room, same size that we booked, is available. We finally got the room that we paid for. Since the suggested upgrade did not happen, I specifically told Fernando that we should not incur added charge and he said he will make sure. When we checked out, guess what, the hotel was charging us for the upgrade. What??? When we told them what happened, they relented. 2. Staff was incompetent, specifically Fernando. Because of the check-in fiasco, he promised to send us a bottle of wine. We stayed 3 nights, but did we get the wine? NO! 3. Property was not clean. On day 2, ants started coming out of our sink. We have photos to prove. 4. Amenities were useless. Everything--- pool, sauna, spa, closes at 6 PM. There's a tub but no stopper so it's useless. Don't get fooled by this hotel's glitzy photos and ads. This hotel overpromises but severely underdelivers.
