Nice place though right next to the road so had to have the windows closed on a very hot night. Food was superb, staff were helpful and had a missing blind replaced as soon as I mentioned it. Comfortable stay, would definitely recommend.

Our stay Was nice and relaxing.bed was comfortable. Tea coffee with lots of milk . Free standing bath made a nice change also with shower hose.complimentary shower gel , shampoo and body lotion .Warning though! If you book into the restaurant make sure your hungry generous meals lots of choice very pleased with what we had . Breakfast was lovely too.Out second time here . Thanks

Staff were helpful and friendly. Our evening meal was fantastic and great value. Breakfast was also very good with quality ingredients and great service. Sadly our overnight stay was let down with the room not being up to standard. The lock to the room wasn’t easy to open. Areas were grubby and in need of decorating, especially the paintwork in the bathroom. Whilst we would return to eat in the restaurant we would not stay overnight again.

Check in was easy ✔️ Room was cold🥶 Bath only, and had hairs in the bath tub 🤢 Breakfast was good, service a bit slow Dinner was fantastic- very very good!✔️

Lovely room. Ours was at the top, it was a hot night and heat rises! We did have the windows open but it’s quite a busy road so lots of road noise. The blind also let in a lot of light too and if light sensitive there was a bright green light shinning in the ceiling. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Restaurant packed and the food was good. I had the roast and my husband had the mutton curry - huge potions. Staff very helpful and smiley but rushed off their feet.

A lovely midweek stay and an exceptional evening meal and breakfast!

This is the third occasion we have stayed at The Recruiting Sergeant and hopefully it won't be the last. We received a prompt and friendly check-in on arrival and were shown to our first-floor room which was a good size, as was the bathroom. Both were spotless and were kept that way for the duration of our 4 night stay. Overlooking the road caused us no concerns. Great choice of good quality food for breakfast and we had our evening meal there on 3 of the 4 nights. Superb choice of food and wine which us well-cooked, plentiful, and served by well-mannered and good-humoured staff.

I stopped for one night on business and found it to be a real gem. Lovely friendly team and amazing restaurant with high end menu choices and very well cheffed food. It was Tuesday evening and they looked fully booked for food which said a lot to me. Great selection of beers too. Parking on site was free and had a lovely breakfast in the morning nd great chat with the owner in relation to its aerospace connections. Overall would stay again 100%

The rooms are basic, and as a repeat customer I know this. No shower in this particular room, but a large bath. Biggest issue - room was freezing with no way to tweak heating. No iron in the room either.

Amazing stay with amazing food

Hotel was very nice but really busy so parking was an issue. We had the attic room which had a low slanted ceiling which I wouldn’t want to stay in again. No WiFi code given and bathroom too hot.

We choose this venue as a base to explore Norfolk for a weekend, the location makes it an easy drive to the beach. We couldn't fault the food it was amazing and the staff are very friendly and helpful :) The best thing about our room was the under floor heating in the bathroom, the rest of the room was just adequate, could do with a little bit of an up grade. The upstairs and leading to the bedrooms just looked a little shabby.
