Room clean and comfortable. Staff all very helpful good full English breakfast.

I really liked this hotel, it was our second visit but, they completely messed up our dinner. We pre ordered the roast pork but, unfortunately they ran out! We ended up with ham, egg and chips which was laughable, the ham looked like thinly sliced spam, the egg was overcooked and we had a few oven chips! It was so bad we got up and walked out, which i have never done before and I’m 67! I have emailed the hotel but, no reply! We won’t be going back!

Perfect location by the beach and centre of town. The room was big enough for us and the beds were comfy. The hotel is a bit dated, however it was clean and had a nice lounge area with live entertainment each night which we enjoyed.

Old and outdated, very noisy all night,. Breakfast was good. Staff seemed nice.

Warm welcome on arrival, nice clean comfy room with a sea view. The hotel is in a great location across the road from the beach and a one minute walk from Torbay Road with the shops and places to eat. We had the evening meal in the hotel which was lovely and a great price also the breakfast was very nice the next morning. Would stay here again.

They didn’t acknowledge our booking with breakfast on the first day but then got fixed on then 2nd day which already our checkout. The sofa bed is not clean if you lift the cushion. Close to the water amd small market.

Was told would be evening entertainment. None provided. Food was excellent. Like all old hotels needs lots of upgrades

Marine Hotel is dated, however it is clean & functional. Good choice of food for breakfast, basic but good. Staff are friendly & polite. Entertainment is good and is very well supported by Pete Night porter (5*). You get what you pay for, and we would return if you would have us back 👍

wonderful stay at the Marine Hotel! 🌊🏨 From the moment i arrived, it was exactly the kind of hotel experience you hope for — comfortable, welcoming, and with that relaxing atmosphere that makes you feel at home straight away. The staff were friendly, the service was excellent, and everything about the stay was smooth and enjoyable. Lonely Traveler Productions really did enjoy staying here. It’s the sort of place that leaves you with good memories and makes you want to return again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quality stay with a proper warm welcome.

The 2 rooms which we have were absolutely awful….dirty and dusty and old. Walls didn’t see paint for years -some of wallpaper was stick together with tape ! We have mould and damp on the wall . My son vie from the window was bins and cars as his room was on the basement. Food was extremely basic and poor quality. Stuff smoking cigarettes outside and whole halls stink . You can hear drains all evening when people flushed the toilet. Walls are very thick so you can hear every single noise….Awful place.

Breakfast good choices, chef very accommodating for evening meal . No hairdryer, no hot water at 9pm or pressure in shower. Has a solo traveller found it very lonely, was put on a dinning table completely out of the way, so no chance to talk to anyone.

Small but comfortable single room on top floor, as requested. Sizeable shower. Very small TV. Good breakfast.

Room was a little small ,we had a twin but very clean Plenty of milk tea bags and coffee Right on sea front Breakfast was lovely and staff we're very helpful and friendly Keep us supplied with tea and coffee and more toast for jam definitely staying again 😊
