Property is very very big and right on the beach. I would say the biggest complaint is the wifi in the room is very weak and not that much better when you go around the property. Second, please put a window instead of a screen in the bathroom. We were next to the stairs and it’s just people walking around all hours of the night talking loudly and sliding their feet in their sandals on the ground. Third, it’s not really a complaint but the pool bar would be better if it was completely wrap around. We noticed it was always the same people that went to the pool from opening to close and just stay glued to the pool bar which means less room for other people.

I had a wonderful stay at Southern Palms Beach Resort. From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth, welcoming, and very well organized. The resort is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located on the stunning Diani Beach. My Oceanfront Deluxe room was amazing—spacious, comfortable, spotless, and with incredible views of the ocean. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the resort and the beautiful beachfront. A special thank you goes to Regina, my Guest Experience Assistant, who truly made my stay unforgettable. She assisted with my check-in and went above and beyond to arrange several incredible experiences for me. Regina organized an amazing private dinner on the beach, which was beautifully set up and absolutely magical. She also helped arrange a fantastic beach cabana experience and a jet ski activity, which were highlights of my visit. The entire staff at the resort was friendly, professional, and welcoming, and you can tell the team takes great pride in providing a great guest experience. Zakia, who is AMAZING, was my attendant for my cabana. I had an equally great attendant for my Dinner on the Beach. I highly recommend Southern Palms Resort to anyone visiting Diani Beach. It’s a beautiful property with excellent service and unforgettable Indian ocean views.

Das Hotel war sehr, sehr schön! Eine wirklich große und gepflegte Anlage. Die Zimmer waren auch schön. Vielleicht nicht alles top in Schuss wie zum Beispiel die klemmenden Vorhänge oder die Balkontüren, aber nichts was unseren schönen Urlaub gemindert hätte! Das Personal war auch wirklich total lieb und immer freundlich. Wir würden aufjedenfall wieder her kommen :)

Very happy with the Asian vegetarian menus available at the hotel (including Jain options). They keep the guest entertained via pool volley ball, water polo and evening dances with DJ.

The customer service at Southern Palms was great, and the place itself was great.

Clean facility

Service and friendliness was top notch. We had a few issues with the room being ready for us on arrival but this was remedied and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. They catered to our two 8month old twins with each meal and provided plenty of gluten free options for me.

Our stay at southern palms resort was nothing short of amazing! The resort is beautiful with big pools and is located right at the beach front. Our room was big and spacious always kept neat by our lovely housekeeper Veronica. The staff at the hotel are such lovely genuine people. Everyone made us feel right at home, starting from the manager daisy who even gave us her personal contact to call her if we needed anything at any time. Elisha the bartender at the beach bar kept our drinks flowing and made sure to have conversation with each person sitting at the bar. The food was fantastic. I must recommend the bbq restaurant which had a wide selection for us meat lovers. I will definitely visit again soon!

Outdated & Overated & Overpriced

The property is nice with good food options for vegetarians. However, it needs some renovation as the rooms and washroom fittings are pretty old. During our stay, they started painting the outer walls of the building that was a bit inconvenient.

Great place to stay. I liked the food and the staff, very friendly. However, the local vendors can be a little aggressive and intimidating. They had events nightly on the resort so really no need to leave resort. Ran into some minor issue with Wi-Fi and room selections. Overall I would definitely return, minus the bees and flies.
