This is the lodge on the property of Tsavo West national park (safari). It is of the high quality accommodation with an opportunity to see the wild life and game directly from the room's balcony and the terrace of the restaurant. Two water holes attract various species such as zebras, giraffes, antilopes, elephants and water buffaloes. Having a breakfast with a view of the mountains and the flat bush country with the wild life/game in it is what we came to Kenya for. We were able to arrange game drives directly from the lodge - they have a whole fleet of jeeps specifically designed to accommodate rough conditions of safari terrain. Our guide William is the professional naturalist with an encyclopedic knowledge of the safari life. There wasn't a single question that he didn't give an exhaustive answer to. Since the property is located in the national park we had to enter the park no later than 6 pm. We were driving from the southern resort in Diani Beach on the very congested road and could only get to the park at the midnight. We contacted the lodge and the service agent by the name Dorkas made all the arrangements for ranger if the park to open the gates and finally check us in at 1 am.

Incredible safari lodge with a water hole out back to attract animals. Beautiful rooms, a gorgeous restaurant and bar area, top notch service and food, and plenty of history to boot. They even washed my car for me overnight!

The stay was incredible! As you walk into the reception area you will be shocked by the view. The eating area is an open air area that has the most incredible view and is situated around the watering hole so that you can watch the animals approach as you eat. The service was incredible and the food amazing. The rooms were nice as well. The only issue with the room is that the fan is not above the bed and the nights were HOT. This, sadly is the issue I could find with the place. It was the most amazing place, but I found it hard to sleep while so hot.

The Lodge with that view is just amaizingly good. Food was OK, drinks very expensive. Breackfast was only english standard. Service was most of the time good and always very friendly. - just few little things could be improved: One could offer binoculars to borrow - this would make the expereance of that view even better. Unfortunately nobode was able to inform us about the highlights / places to visit in the Nationalpark. But still: the hotel is great, people are very friendly.

Awesome stay! We loved everything - the food, service, rooms, pool. I wished we booked more than one night. It seems pricey, but you get value for your money.

A fabulous lodge, 5 star plus too many great things to mention

L'établissement est super bien situé dans le parc. Par contre, les moyens de transports pour y accéder doivent être décrites (facturation transfert de la gare de train sgr le plus proche etc...) ainsi que le paiment de l entrée du parc non inclus dans le prix du sejour.

The hotel was amazing. Staff really friendly. Very clean and well maintained. Location is superb too.

Incredible place - can’t wait to go back.

What an incredible place! The hotel was amazing, the staff superb and the views...wow! We went on some great game drives. I highly recommend the sundowner drive. We had Anthony as our guide, and he was amazing! Food provided was very tasty with lots of options available.

What took my breath away were the two watering holes directly behind the Kilaguni Serena Safari Lodge. I was able to see animals drinking at the watering holes from the patio of my room. Herds of elephants, giraffes, Buffalo, hyena and many more drink from the watering holes at all hours of the day. There are lights for night time viewing. You can also see the animals at watering holes from the open air restaurant while you dine. The cuisine is buffet style and delicious! Meals were included in the price of the room. The game drives were in the morning, and in the evening, and very reasonably priced. But what made this visit something I will never forget are the people who work there. Everyone was patient, kind, sincere, happy and warm. They really made me feel at home. Thanks!

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal da und der Service, die Sauberkeit, das Essen und die Lage sind sehr gut! Die Lodge ist sehr alt, wird aber bestens gepflegt und bietet daher eine Oase nach den gamedrives. Am Wasserloch, auf das man einen tollen Blick hat, tummeln sich die Tiere, so dass man (fast) gar nicht auf Tour gehen müsste. Wir empfehlen die Lodge sehr gerne weiter!
