I came here to celebrate my birthday and I was greeted with a welcome drink which was called the golden eye which has pineapple and rum inside it so good! They also provided a card and champagne for my bday! They brought our suitcases to the room then the bell guy gave a quick tour of the place before we got to the room. I booked a cottage over the lagoon and it has a beautiful view and our kayak that we can use around the lagoon! The room was nice and clean and they have the shower outdoors and the bed was so comfortable. Housekeeping comes to clean your room twice a day one in the afternoon and one in evening. So the restaurant we ate at the most was bizot for breakfast, lunch or dinner! One of the nights they had curry which was buffet style and that was good! Just keep in mind all the food is very expensive and wished they had more other food options but the ones they had were good. I used the spa once while I was there and got a hot stone massage which was relaxing. They have 3 pools, two beaches and our lagoon swim in! I stayed here the whole trip and didn’t leave the resort and it was much needed for rest and relaxation for a vacation! If you needed anything you can text to make any spa reservations, place a room service order, or ask any questions on what’s app!!! One thing I loved about this resort is how quiet and not crowded this place is I saw maybe like 8 people total around this resort!

Such a lovely place! I spend the most wonderful vacations with my husband. The place was surrounded by nature everywhere and it was such a calm place. The staff was incredibly kind.

Property was amazing, staff amazing, we had Pops as a driver and he’s highly recommended to request he knows so much about Jamaica and it’s almost like a tour driving to and from the airport Only thing I have is only 1 restraint open for dinner, they could rotate the menus or have more specials, same thing every night Besides the food we will be back for sure, so relaxing and beautiful environment!!!! 5 stars!!

Wonderful place to stay, super staff

GoldenEye is our favourite escape, it’s a true paradise on earth with the most beautiful beaches, water sport activity, restaurants and great service. We even had the most amazing room facing the sea. Couldn’t dream of a better place!

We stayed in a 2 bed beach villa , the villa was very good , lovely location and well serviced. The beach and lagoon areas are far superior to the beach huts and for a couple the lagoon cottages are probably the way to go. The overall resort is beautiful and an interesting property to stay at . Sadly it was let down by very poor food choice as the main restaurant Gazebo only opened one night during our six night stay. The food and service at Gazebo were very good and comparable to Jamaica Inn where we had stayed the previous week. The rest of the time only the casual restaurant was open with poor food choices compounded by offering a reduced menu from the norm and on occasions poor quality. Some of the staff in particular the beach staff were excellent but when we raised food quality issues it was met with indifference . The service improved when the owner arrived and managers became more visible . Overall given the price point for staying at GoldenEye the food offering was very poor and spoilt our stay.

I have stayed here before but i only returned as i wanted to show my friend the place. Check in staff were okay and breakfast staff were very good and even made us Jamaican chocolate tea. However check out was lousy. We dealt with a sour individual who did not know how to say please or thank you. I did tell him off. This idiot shoukd know that this is the last impression guest have of the property. Its living off its reputation but is over priced and over rated.

Where to start. Just the most idyllic, relaxing and overall best boutique hotel in JAM.

An oasis of calm and comfort

There's nothing my little family hates more than a vacation resort filled with concrete and loud music. Goldeneye was everything we love. Lush green spaces, lots of places to walk, pool and beach options that aren't overcrowded and extremely pleasant staff, who made our 10month old feel like a celebrity. Definitely saving for our next trip and trying to get friends on board. Food is a bit expensive.

a beautiful resort in a tranquil setting, staff were excellent and friendly. Wifi reception was bit mixed across the resort. The shop was expensive in my opinion. 50usd for a cotton printed t-shirt - hot price.

My wife and I just had the most incredible 4 night stay at GoldenEye for our anniversary. We stayed in one of the Lagoon Cottages which was very roomy and comfortable. We loved being directly on the lagoon where we could swim, kayak or just sit and watch the turtles go by. We enjoyed the beaches and pools on the property as well. All of the staff (front desk, restaurants, grounds, water sports, spa, etc.) were wonderful. And, every meal we had at Bizot Bar and Bamboo Bar was delicious and featured the freshest local ingredients and bright Jamaican flavors in a good variety of traditional dishes. I cannot think of a single negative. We cannot wait to go back next year.

We had a wonderful stay at GoldenEye — it’s a truly stunning property. We loved our beach hut; it was charming, comfortable, and perfectly in keeping with the laid-back vibe of the resort. The grounds are incredible — the beach and especially the lagoon are absolutely magical. We stayed on the beach, but in hindsight, we’d have preferred a lagoon hut if one had been available. The restaurants were good — casual and relaxed, which suited the atmosphere, though on the pricey side (as expected for a place like this). While the overall service felt a bit hands-off and self-service at times, the restaurant staff were amazing — warm, friendly, and genuinely went out of their way to make the experience special. Special thanks to Kevin, who really stood out! There were a few service hiccups — we had breakfast delivered once and it arrived cold with a few things missing, so we didn’t repeat that. We also asked several times for the mini bar fridge to be emptied so we could use it for our own water, but it was never done. GoldenEye is undeniably beautiful and unique, with a one-of-a-kind setting. That said, for the price point, we felt it lacked a bit of the personal touch and polish you'd expect. Still, it's a special place that offers something truly different — peaceful, naturally stunning, and full of character.

A must stay destination if you're looking to truly sit back and relax on vacation.

We selected GoldenEye because my husband is a James Bond scholar. The property was beautiful and the beaches were calm, magnificent, and shallow, although I think it does get deeper as you go out further. My 3 star rating comes because of two reasons. Firstly, the food was ok, nothing memorable, just OK. My problem with this is that at that cost, I expect magnificent. We had an expensive buffet dinner (this includes two drinks and tip) and were expecting memorable. This is a beautiful resort. It is a lot like an all inclusive without the inclusive. It is very secluded (and I get that this is their intention, which is to give their guests privacy.) So if you like all inclusive, this is your type of place. My 3 star rating comes from a personal experience. Before arriving I write to ask if I could invite my cousin for lunch. My first answer was a bit nebulous and strange, so I wrote again and was told that I could not because the property was full and they could not accommodate two extras. We were there for three days and each night me and my husband sat at a table for four with two empty seats. My point here is that I prefer to be spoken to truthfully. If the protocol is that folks in the beach huts are not allowed guests, then just say so because I am sure if Adele asks to have two guests for lunch, she will not get a "sorry, we are full," when that is clearly not the case. But as I said, if you like upscale all-inclusives, this is your place (without the inclusives).
