Just fyi, this property IS in a red lights district. Not the famous downtown red lights district, but the red lights district for locals. Right on the same street, there are windows with women sitting in them and red lights.
Also, some rooms do not have air conditioning. The last concern was that we had a door that went straight to the outside street, and housekeeping left it open after cleaning, leaving our room and stuff open to the public. Luckily, nothing was taken.
The staff, especially Wies, was very nice and kind. The building is really cool, and so are the rooms. We did get moved to a room with air conditioning for one night, and that night was great. Their breakfast is very nice - lots of options and you eat with a view of the canal.
