I have been staying at this hotel for 7 days so far. The staff are very kind, friendly, and always helpful. The gym and swimming pool facilities are also very good and enjoyable. However, there are some serious issues that need attention. The first problem is the internet service. The connection is extremely weak and unreliable, and in the room there is almost no proper signal, which makes it very difficult to work or stay connected. The second issue is the breakfast. Unfortunately, it is not at the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. The variety is limited, and in some cases the quality is below expectations. The most important issue is the coffee served at this hotel. The coffee quality is very poor and almost tasteless. Considering that this is Africa and one of the world’s leading coffee-producing regions, I truly expected a much higher standard of coffee experience. I hope the management will consider improving these areas, because with the excellent staff and good facilities, the hotel has great potential to provide a much better experience for its guests.

Reception staff were very friendly and courteous. Wait staff, although there always many around, paid little attention to customers. Food quality was okay, but key items (like cheese) were sometimes unavailable making many dishes unavailable. Food and drinks were delivered exceedingly slowly. Getting a Coke Zero & burger for dinner was a two hour event. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, but there were only two bath towels and no hand towels. When I asked for one I was given a washcloth that was not replaced the next day. On my last day a bath mat appeared. Breakfast buffet had many options but little was fresh. A little more attention to detail, especially around food and beverage service would be great.

Check in staff was amazing, my room was cleaned daily. Unfortunately i didnt have a power source next to my bed to charge my laptop or phone. Over it was good, i would book this hotel again.

Overall the stay was great but I was not aware the were charging extra fees if you booked single room for 1 and your wanted to bring your loved one that’s an extra fee.

Staff is very attentive and all the basic aspects are great -- good wifi, very solid breakfast buffet, hot water for showers. There is also a strong evening vibe of live music and buffet dinners that makes the property relaxing if you are here on business.

The staff are unfriendly, poor customer service, the receptionist couldn’t find my bookings . I was very disappointed and emotionally distressed! I think for my mental health I would never again book with Expedia to stay at African hotel !!!!

the room fridge was not working. The Room AC was difficult to operate and shut off twice in the middle of the night. The TV was not easy to operate. Only had sound but no picture. The water faucet in the shower was stuck on very hot water and ended up taking a cold shower.

Unprofessional stuffs, not cooperative at all.

Gracious staff, clean rooms and quirky architecture. Odd styling choices, which seem to be Soviet inspired, and that's part of the experience. Great value for a historic property.
