The Hoops was the best Inn style room, dinner and breakfast we've ever had! Newly refurbished room was excellent. The food was outstanding, worthy of a Michelin award! breakfast was equally superb. We will definitely stay again and can highly recommend.

Loved the ‘Olde Worlde’ charm and history of the Inn, The only minor fault was that there were no leaflets of surrounding places of interest to visit. However we would would highly recommend This property. Thank you.

We have stayed here a few times about 9 years ago when we had reasons to be in north Devon. We were pleased to have had another opportunity last week. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a first rate bathroom. We had a very enjoyable dinner, some lovely wine and a splendid breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we really hope to be able to visit again sometime. Thank you!

A gem of a find, a quite location,large car park,friendly staff,dog friendly with a large field off the car park, a great inn with a large beer garden, A great selection of beers & the food taken in the bar or garden was very good. After a power cut in the early morning ( no fault of their own) power back on at 9.15am they managed to provide a full English before we checked out. We would make a point of returning again.

Lovely character hotel, room was lovely, quite warm due to the very thick walls, bath in our room was huge (room 3), super dog friendly, great breakfast

Hoops Inn is a lovely Grade II building with history. It has a lovely garden, although on a steep incline so may not be suitable for anyone with walking difficulty. The staff are very welcoming & helpful. Lovely freshly cooked breakfasts with good quality produce.

This was a return visit as we loved the friendly staff and locals. Special treat for our Irish Wolfhound because my wife was on antibiotics so timing meant she couldn't have her breakfast... so guess who got it instead. Very happy dog though I think the chef felt his skills were not being tested given she likes her eggs raw. So yes they are very dog friendly, and the food for us humans was excellent as well.

Friendly bunch of people around the bar. Excellent food. Helpful and no issues with our giant dog (Irish Wolfhound). We had 2 rooms. Rooms at the back are modern and quiet. Rooms at the front are lovely tudor atmosphere and we did not notice any road noise.

The Hoops is a lovely country inn with extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean and comfortable especially the bed. A well stocked tray with tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Towling robes were also provided. Breakfast, lunch and dinner had good choices and the cooked food was delicious
