Great location to walk around. Close to restaurants and stores. Internet is spotty and sometimes not even active.

Sehr freundliches, zuvorkommendes und hilfreiches Personal ! Sehr gute Lage des Hotels. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, belebte Umgebung und doch ziemlich ruhig (autofreie Strasse). Wir werden gerne wieder kommen !

Personal stets bemüht, aber unfähige Geschäftsführerin. Wir mussten über 6(!) Stunden auf unseren Check In warten, obwohl eigentlich alles abgeklärt war. Chefin leider null kommunikationsfähig & kompromissbereit. Zimmer war nicht das, welches wir gebucht hatten - mit Ausblick.. wir haben eins im Innenhof bekommen mir "Ausblick" auf andere Fenster und Wände... Wasser wurde leider auch nicht mehr als lauwarm, Zimmerausstattung an sich aber klein und ausreichend. Frühstück auch sehr mager - und wenn man nicht direkt zu Beginn des Frühstücks auftaucht, hat man eventuell nicht mehr die Chance auf warme Milch, heißes Wasser oder Wurst etc. Auf gar keinen Fall nochmal wieder! Hätten wir die Chance gehabt, wären wir an dem Check In Tag noch lieber in ein Airbnb gegangen, als dort einzuchecken.

The staff was very nice and accommodating after a mistake was made with my booking. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was good.

Hôtel dans un joli bâtiment historique sur le Plateau, au centre de l'animation de la ville. Chambre pour 4 un peu petite avec des lits d'appoints qui faisaient beaucoup de bruit de ressorts. Sanitaires largement insuffisants, WC quasiment contre la paroi de douche, impossible de s'assoir de face... Tringle pour les linges non fixée. Rapport qualité-prix insuffisant pour moi.

J’ai eu une très mauvaise expérience dans cet hôtel. Après m’être plaint 3 fois que je n’avais pas d’eau qui sortait de ma douche, et pas d’eau le matin, en plus d’une odeur d’égoût dans ma chambre, j’ai changé d’hôtel! Le monsieur de la réception était d’une grande inutilité. J’ai demandé à être remboursé mais il voulait que j’attende le manager pendant quelques heures! Les photos de la terrasse sont fausses: elle est inexistante. Horrible expérience!

Air conditioning not functioning in some rooms, deteriorated bathtub. Basically infrastructure needs upgrade

Bien situé et très bon petit déjeuner. Cependant pas idéal avec des enfants en bas âge. Le lit d'appoint de ma fille était cassé et rideaux pas en bon état.

Excellently positioned on Praia Plateau, which is full of history and culture. The Santa Maria has friendly, cheerful, Caboverdean staff and is comfortable, clean and caring. Buffet breakfast is delicious and it has a lift. The only minor problem is it’s sometimes hard to get on the WiFi.

We often stay at Hotel Santa Maria on Praia Plateau because it is perfectly placed on the central pedestrianised street, close to all the historical and cultural sights. The local staff are very helpful and always cheerful. The hotel is comfortable and clean. It has a lift and delicious buffet breakfasts.

Personnel très agréable et aidant, chambre plutôt spacieuse. Hôtel calme et très bien situé.

1st. Be careful ! taxi from Airport to downtown Praia most drivers will ask you for € 20 but the right price is €10. 2nd. I'd booked a double room (twin) for 2 nights at Hotel st. Maria. The night editor made us pay a supplement of € 85 because we were 2 people in a double room.? I had to insist to get an invoice.

Very nice hotel in the heart of the capital near all the attractions by walking .. the hotel is great and the service is great nice simple breakfast , quite room I recommend it

Super bien situé, bon rapport qualité prix, service très bon. Quelques petites réparations s’imposent dans la chambre, surtout la salle de bain.

Charmant hôtel dans le centre de Praia, très bon accueil, personnel à notre disposition et facilitant les démarches éventuelles Chambre correcte, endroit calme Néanmoins, le petit déjeuner n’est vraiment pas à l hauteur, si vous arrivez à 8h30 (fin normalement prévue à 10h) le buffet est quasiment vide et même en réclamant on obtient des choses au compte-goutte. Concernant le Private Tours affiché dans la hall d’entrée est une véritable arnaque : cher et chauffeur antipathique
