The Skye Inn was a guesthouse at hotel prices. The restaurant was closed the breakfast while good was slow and the staff in their own words were “distracted” Basically it seemed that the student aged staff were operating the Skye Inn without adult management. Perhaps as the season was just starting they were all new on their jobs but the place missed having an experienced adult in charge

The staff was very friendly and responsive. The food was very good. The hotel setting/location was a bit of a surprise, but easy walking distance to town. The hotel caters to groups/small tour buses, but then, most Portree hotels probably do as well. Dinner reservations in town are hard to get, so book in advance.

Very nice

Well located within city center walking distance. Staff was prompt and friendly. Our room was noisy as the head of the bed was on the wall adjacent to the entrance. Each visit by a guest to their room caused the head board to shake and make a clunking sound. The private driveway from the street was long and had 5- 7 serious chuckholes that were 6-10 inches deep and 1-2 feet across. Most cars had significant mud on their sides avoiding them.

This inn was very warm and inviting. It was just a short walk into town. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The shower could have used some shampoo and conditioner. The food was good, the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. I highly recommend a stay here.

The staff were the highlight. Attentive and friendly and all young but very good. The rooms were small and cramped but the breakfast was included and it was excellent. One of the employees even did a wash and fold for us

Great breakfast and very friendly staff. Easy walk into Portree for restaurants and bars, plus convenient onsite parking. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but somewhat small with limited luggage space.

Comfortable room, friendly staff and good level of amenities. For the price, however, I would expect a bit more. Breakfast was good, but not out of the ordinary. Restaurant was unexpectedly closed during my stay. Room and bathroom on the small side.

Comfortable and well located. Price quite high but that seems to be typical for the Isle of Skye. Breakfast was a nice feature. Simple but convenient and tasty enough.

Wow. Such a lovely place to stay on the Isle of Skye! The Scottish breakfast each morning was incredible and the staff was so helpful the whole time. We will definitely be back!!

Great hotel. Handy for strolling into the town and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Our stay at the Skye Inn was made very enjoyable because the Staff were so welcoming and did everything to make us feel comfortable. The breakfast menu was both varied and delicious served with a smile. Our room was clean and comfortable and tastefully decorated. A tray filled with choices of tea coffee and chocolate was a bonus.Fresh milk was replenished when required. Our dog had a wonderful reception.
