The rooms are huge and beds are comfortable. The room I was given was on the Namibia street side and got lots of sun, making it quite warm and required opening windows to ventilate. The downside was the amount of street noise that came in. I talked to the staff before I left and they showed me rooms on a different side that would not have those problems (heat and noise) so for another stay I would request to not be on the Namibia street side. I was disappointed in the breakfast options - the hot foods were not very hot and not very tasty either. There was a small sampling of fruits and fresh fruit juices which were nice.

The hospitality of the staff was impeccable and the location of the hotel was walkable to all the major spots in town which was awesome.

Disappointing

This property is staffed with some exceedingly dedicated customer service professionals who made my stay perfect. The only downside was the nightclub down the street making noise on Sat, but I have nothing but good things to say about the hotel!

It’s very close to the airport and getting the shuttle provided by the hotel especially as my arrival was almost midnight made the difference for me, my gratitude to all the staff members , particularly to the front desk. Thank you very much

FANTASTIC PLACE TO STAY WITH THE BEST STAFF!

We stayed here for one night. It was a basic hotel, clean and felt safe. There is no AC. the breakfast was good and they had a shuttle service to the airport.

The staff was kind and very helpful. I will stay there again when I visit Addis.

Excellent service and prime location.

We stayed at Sabon Hotel for 2 weeks as part of quarantine requirements for travelling South Africans. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and always ensured we were happy with the services and amenities provided. The suite was a good size and daily housekeeping ensured that all linen and towels were clean and fresh, constantly keeping the room clean. The restaurant had a good variety of foods to choose from with very competitive prices compared to the establishments outside the hotel. The daily breakfast was delicious and varied, offering a mix of traditional Ethiopian foods and continental food dishes. The hotel is in a very good location, close to the airport and on a main street with lots of restaurants and stores to explore. Tour services are offered and allowed us to experience some of the gems in Addis Ababa. A big "thank you" to Mabratu and the restaurant staff, Fitsum and the front desk staff, and all of the housekeeping staff for making our stay an excellent one!
