The Royal Senchi truly has a taste for excellence. I stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. From the desk staff to the grounds personnel, everyone was friendly. I was very impressed. I will return in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed our midweek stay at this resort. Great amenities and service. The river room was nice, we appreciated the kettle and tea and coffee in the room. The dried mango pack left after housekeeping was a noteworthy gesture. The bar service was exceptional, our server, Happy, was engaging and super friendly. He should be shadowed by some of the other wait staff to learn how to interact with guests in a confident but still courteous manner. Kayaking on the river was a memorable experience. The room was beautifully appointed, we recommend adding some plexiglass to the bathroom door for more privacy!

We chose The Royal Senchi to celebrate something truly special—my friend’s 70th birthday and Mother’s Day on May 11, 2025. It was their very first time in Africa, and what an unforgettable introduction it was! From the moment we arrived, we were surrounded by genuine warmth, luxury, and exceptional hospitality. The resort is absolutely stunning, with lush tropical greenery and breathtaking views of the Volta River—it felt like stepping into a dream (or a movie, with us as the cast!). The food was incredible, with a wide variety of delicious options to suit every taste. The live music on Sunday added such a vibrant touch to the atmosphere. We spent our days enjoying the beautiful pool, relaxing, and soaking up the peaceful vibes. Highlights included a scenic boat ride to the dam (a must-do!) and a fun round of golf. A special thank you to Salifu Iddisah, the Room Division Manager, whose professionalism and warm hospitality made our stay even more memorable. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect for our celebration—truly outstanding service! My friends couldn’t stop saying, “This was the BEST celebration ever!”—and I couldn’t agree more. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, planning a Mother’s Day getaway, or just looking to experience the best of Ghanaian luxury, The Royal Senchi is the perfect choice. We’ll definitely be returning!

This is a justifiable 4.5 star resort. Marvellous location on the tiver. Immaculate grounds. Great bar and restaurant food and staff. Bedroom well appointed and spacious. Only issue for me was lack of proficiencies of reception staff. Vague. Slow. Unsure. Unwelcoming. Unusual as all other staff were so well trained.

Loved everything about this hotel. Was suppose to only have 1 night but we booked an extra night. Great service, good food, beautiful room and amazing surroundings. I will recommend to try the kayak around the island - also visiting the park island across the river. Not my last visit here. Tommy
