Cool camp in a beautiful desert, good food and friendly staff

Desert Bird Camp is one of 35 camps in Wadi Rum. The owner can be easily contacted via WhatsApp and he replies very promptly. I did the 5 hour 4x4 tour offered by the camp. It was undoubtedly the highlight of our Jordan trip. All meals were of high quality and delicious. In the evening we all sat around the camp fire to chat with the local guides and cook. The bathrooms are very clean and modern. The cabins are small but comfortable. There is a hill located next to the camp from which one has a magnificent view of the camp and surrounding desert (see picture). The owner arranged a taxi to take us to the Wadi Araba border crossing (25 JOD). Conclusion: If you are planning to visit Wadi Rum I highly recommend Desert Bird Camp. It offers excellent value for money. The 4x4 tour (5h) is a must.
