Great service. But very tired interior, wall paper pealing off the walls. The first room had big damp patches on the ceiling, so we asked to be moved rooms.

This was a good comfortable hotel. However service was below average. I stayed for 3 nights. No service of room after first night. The next day I specifically rang the hotel during the day twice but got no reply. I left a message specifically asking for the room to be serviced. Still no service the next day. I also requested some ice to take to the room for a drink. None available the first night. Small cup the next night. Smaller cup the next night and then no more when I asked. Considering there is a restaurant on site, seems odd.

Great little hotel half mile or so from Cambridge city centre. Well recommended.

Stay was ok. Would have liked some water in the room or even vending machine downstairs. Kind of hands off reception/service. Close proximity to the hospital which is good. And helped in late check out today. That's it really

No AC which is fine and to be expected but hard during the heat wave. The area is a little shabby but the room was quiet and clean that it was a comfortable respite after a busy day and evening in Cambridge.

The room was clean, sheets were nice, though the rooms in general are a little run down since it’s an older building.

Prima locatie. Bedden waren echter vreselijk zelfs nadat we een andere kamer hadden gekregen. Dit heeft meer weg van een martelwerktuig dan een bedHierdoor bijna niet geslapen. Verder viel de douche van ellende uit elkaar

No AC, bed very hard, place a bit run-down, no staff there a lot of the time. Shower was broken so had to use the one next door in a room that had not been cleaned yet. No secure place to leave luggage after checkout. Staff were pleasant and friendly and tried to be helpful with the shower situation.

The room was excellent value for money compared to anything else. It is tired, but very clean, in a great spot and the staff are lovely.

Well located but very basic for the price: no room service, beds were not very comfortable, the water in the shower was barely a drip, no air conditioning, the painting in the walls is out in some parts of the room, no plugs in the bed... Not sure how a hole like this can Ave stars and a half...

Cons: This is a shabby old hotel. Holes in the walls, rips in the wallpaper. It's clean. They say they will provide housekeeping every three days, but I had to ask on day 4, and all they did was provide new towels and empty the trash. They did not clean the toilet or sink or provide new bed sheets or vacuum. There is rarely someone working at the front desk, so I found it impossible to get them to address this issue. Pros: It's clean, at least, and the staff are friendly - when you can find them. It's a 10 minute walk to the train station, and about 20 minutes by bus to the center of town.

Shabby and cramped

The staff very lovely. The hotel was clean and quiet despite being near the road. The hotel needs general updating. It was nice to have a garden area but we could not sit out there as there were nettles and the chairs needed cleaning. It would be good to have a breakfast option. The restaurant that was advertised nearby was a bit disappointing if you are looking for a full English type breakfast but got free hot drinks if you mention the hotel! The hotel is generally fine if you are only there for a day or two. The lovely staff make the hotel.

While the room was clean and the registration clerk was friendly, the property is on the shabby side. It was a very bare bones experience. Water pressure was a trickle. Fine for a quick stop for budget travelers. We appreciated the free parking!

Comfortable hotel close to station and public transport good value for a short break.

Great place to stay. Chinese restaurant in the same building. Some parking out back. We were just passing through. Many restaurants and shopping mall just down the street.

It’s convenient if just stay

Quaint place, needs a bit of TLC though. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we appreciated the short cancellation period during these turbulent times. Everything was clean but the rooms could definitely do with some freshening up.
