Look, the property is clean and beautiful but the staff who work in the bar and cocktail are terrible! What makes a hotel stay great is not just the amenities and property which is top of the line but the people/staff which was one of the worst I have ever seen! Imagine waiting with your partner for more than an hour to get a beer or a cocktail or a macchiato! And then wait another 30 minutes after you order for the order to show up. Yeah, it happened every time we were there (5 days). Once awhile a gap in customer experience is okay, it happens! But this was consistently bad! I could tell by just watching how the staff in the bars/cafes are run, deep rooted bad customer service culture; lack of urgency and care every corner. Very disappointed, I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyatt Regency. From the moment we arrived, the staff were extremely welcoming, professional, and helpful. The check-in process was smooth and well organized. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The hotel itself is beautiful, modern, and very well managed. We especially appreciated the excellent service and the friendly attitude of all the staff. Our stay was truly comfortable and stress-free. We highly recommend Hyatt Regency to anyone visiting Addis Ababa and will definitely stay here again in the future.

Massage at spa was excellent and very relaxing - if you ask for it to be gentle! Only request is for non-feather pillows as they give the head & neck no support!

Genet Kidane was wonderful ! She went out of her way to make sure my day was absolutely great ! She’s very beautiful, professional, and very hospitable! There were other two women . . . Hana & Feven . . . Very helpful and very professional. Without these three women in the state would have been just OK . . . They made my stay very pleasurable and I will definitely come back again :)

There are so many amenities and facilities at this hotel. I didn't even get to explore most of them. I enjoyed the breakfast options, my room was clean and big, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Was less impressed with the Club Room, a waste of money to upgrade for me, but the staff were lovely!

Since I stepped into reception to check-in.. till the moment I got checked out, all was great.. the staff.. the room.. facilities.. room service.. restaurants.. spa.. everything was just wonderful…

Excellent hotel and staff

A pleasant stay. AC and wifi works great. We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet before we went off exploring and kids always looked forward to it. Hotel was clean and everyone was over welcoming adding joy to our stay. I requested for a baby crib, microwave ahead of arriving and it was ready in the room waiting for me. They had high chairs in their restaurants as well. We stayed at Hayatt Addis very comfortably. Pool was great as well.

Lovely hotel with great amenity. The breakfast was outstanding. Our room wasn’t the best - neither the fridge nor the AC worked. Also, the room layout isn’t ideal in that there’s no separate bathroom. For couples or solo that’s likely fine, but there’s no private space to dress or undress before entering the shower. Who ever you room with will see you naked!

Their friendly demeanor and personal touches made us feel right at home, and they truly went out of their way to ensure our family was comfortable and well taken care of.

Great place, wonderful view of Addis, esp from high floors, highly professional staff. Happy to stay here again.
