We had an amazing stay at The Gate. Very nice hotel, near the tube so very easy to get around in the city. Nice staff, amazing room. 10/10

Booked via Expedia and honestly disappointed with both the hotel and the handling of the issue. During my stay, the water stopped while I was in the shower without any warning, which left me unable to rinse off properly. It affected my entire day. The hotel only gave a generic apology and the reaction was really awkward. They redirected me to Expedia. When contacting Expedia, they also struggled to get a proper resolution, it felt like there was no real ownership of the issue. As a customer, you expect someone to take responsibility and offer a fair solution. Instead, I was left dealing with the situation myself. Very frustrating experience overall. I do not recommend.

Fantastic stay. Excellent location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Room was very clean and spacious. Added bonus of being able to access the lounge area on the 5th floor. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Check in process was regrettably difficult and unnecessarily which was all we needed after a 15hr flight. Other than that the apartment was great and hotel was in a great location.

Excellent apartment hotel style living. Very quiet as I was on a high floor. Clean facilities and good devices to use. Water pressure was good, free sparkling water. I had to check out early staying only one night but I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again. One advice for the building manager is to check the temperature setting dials as they’re a bit tricky to adjust and the room was quite stuffy.

Very nice property, great views, quiet, comfortable, staff were also friendly. Not a huge fan of the nearby area, but it’s very easy to get everywhere. I would stay again.

Great location. Close to buses and subway. Staff very nice. Also enjoyed the lounge with complimentary tea/coffee.

So nice to have extra space and facilities over a normal hotel. Great gym, comfy beds and the rooms come with iron, hairdryer and a nice big bottle of cold water in the fridge. I tell all of my colleagues about it.

We reserved a good for two adults and one child. The room was so small with the pull out bed that we could not open the bedroom door all the way to get out. This room should never have been provided to us for this stay. The shower head also came flying off when I went to turn on the water to take a shower. The place is not as depicted in the pictures and is not well taken care of.

Waren zufrieden, außer mit dem Frühstück. Personal überfordert, leeres Buffet, keine Gläser, kein Besteck, sehr ungemütlich obwohl der Raum und die Terrasse sehr nett gewesen wären.

Clean very friendly staff - breakfast was a bit chaotic and they ran completely out of food so there was nothing left to eat - but it was comfortable and close to the underground and store for supplies

Great hotel, great room with all the facilities you could need. No hassle, 5 min walk from Aldgate East. Lots of coffee shops close by.

Saubere Unterkunft, angenehm für einen Erwachsenen und zwei Jugendliche. Küche praktisch, ähnlich die kostenlosen Getränke auf der 5. Etage. Zusätzlich gab es ein Glas Wein for free. Lage zur Ubahn super, alles zügig erreichbar. Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Betten in der Unterkunft sehr bequem.

Staff, in particular Samina who facilitated check in and check Saikot who helped with using the washing machine were responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

Excellent staff, friendly, welcoming, always happy to help. The facilities are great. My second stay and I will be back when I am next in the area.

Friendly check in. Quiet clean room, comfy bed, nice shower. Complimentary water in fridge and kettle and nespresso machine. Small kitchen area with sink and combi oven/ microwave .Good quality glassware and crockery. Nice breakfast in 5th floor lounge area. Easy walk to Aldgate East tube.
