Lovely one-night stay with Denise and Mal who were welcoming and friendly without being intrusive. Large, clean room with a comfortable bed and en suite bathroom. It was nice having fresh milk and bottled water in the fridge, and chocolates and biscuits to have with my Yorkshire tea. Excellent, freshly prepared breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again if I'm in the area.

Mal the owner of the B&B was very friendly and easy to get along with. The room was spotless and the breakfast was delicious, set me up nicely for the day ahead. I would definitely recommend this B&B.

Lovely host and the breakfast was excellent.

Perfect host , very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for him . We arrived late and he even sat and had a drink with us in the lounge . Really homely . Very clean . Fresh flowers in our room and chocolates was a nice touch .Breakfast was perfect . Reasonable price .

On arrival our host, Mal, gave us a warm welcome. Our room was spotless with added touches such as fresh flowers, chocolates and refrigerated bottled water. There was an good choice for breakfast, all excellently freshly cooked by Mal. We stayed for five nights and felt very much at home. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Great stay as ever with Mal

Mal, the host, was exceptional - welcoming, interested in us, and couldn't do enough for us. His breakfasts and rooms were first class. We would recommend Hillcroft to anyone who wants a great place to stay.

Our stay was excellent in every way and Mal couldn’t have been more hospitable. His breakfast was delicious, the bed very comfortable and the room well furnished. The area is quiet, perfect for a good night’s sleep.

Great as ever

The property was perfect for my sister and I. A lovely light,cosy room with everyting needed. There was even a little fridge in the room with fresh milk and bottled water, also a proper jar of coffee, sachets of yorkshire tea and selection of biscuits. We also had a lovely vase of pink carnations in the room. The garden was so pretty with a little pond and waterfall. I love nature so it was perfect. Mal was so welcoming and friendly and and an excellent cook. Everything was to such a high standard. I would highly recommend Hillcroft B&B. I would honestly give 10 out of 10.

Our second stay at Hillcroft B&B and it’s still the best B&B in the UK. There’s not a five star hotel with a better breakfast.

Arrived very late and left early but the stay was excellent and the proprietor was very friendly and helpful. An excellent property and I will certainly stay there again if I'm in the area. Thoroughly recommended.

We had a great stay here. Mal was a lovely host who pitched everything just right. The room was very nice, equipped with exactly what you needed for a comfortable stay. Chocolates and biscuits were a perfect addition. Breakfast was superb. I would definitely recommend.

Mel was very helpful.. everything you need and more in the room including a fridge for Milk. Comfy bed . Sky TV and prime for football! Fantastic tasty breakfast
