Every room has an amazing ocean view! Room was spacious and well equipped kitchenette.

Unbelievable location! We lived this old school yet modernized hotel right on the beach. The bed, the sheets were very comfortable. The kitchenette was well stocked and the balcony was a bonus. Check-in was easy, fast and friendly including a courtesy call a few hours later. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We love this motel, and it is undergoing a major upgrade which was pleasing. Some shabbiness still, with hole in wall and poor floor instal in bathroom and stairs to 2nd floor. But overall very nice bed, bathroom, kitchen and ammenities, decor and fabulous view. Bonus to have free minigolf nearby and beach access. Service was friendly. Excellent value in the off season

Ocean view Beach at our doorstep

It was such a treat to wake up every morning to the spectacular sunrise over Parksville Beach. I sat on my patio with coffee. Went for low tide walks way out into the bay. The Sea Edge has location in spades. This was my second stay this year!

My stay was pleasant. I appreciate that my request for a ground floor unit was accommodated. Room could use a few repairs but the motel was under renovation so I’m sure it will be taken care of. I would stay with them again without hesitation. Great value!

Nice beachfront accommodation, recently renovated.

Fair price, great staff, slightly outdated suite.

I booked 2 rooms, one of them with 2 beds and the other room with one bed. When I arrived, the guy at the desk said that both rooms only have one bed, I told him I booked one with 2 beds, he rudely said, no you only get one bed. Luckily there was a fold out couch for my brother. It was my niece bday party, or I would of gone somewhere else. No offer of a discount or any explanation. We realized that half of the motel was getting renovated. I doubt I will ever go back there. A few of the other people for the party had their rooms mixed up as well. Bad communication, not impressed.

Endroit central donnant accès à des randonnées exceptionnelles. La petite cuisine était propre, mais on doit apporter savon et serviette à récurer. La vue sur le Détroit de Georgia et sur les montagnes de l'autre côté est magnifique tant du balcon que du coin cuisine dans la cour. Seul point négatif est la propreté du plancher de la salle de bain. Apporter des gougounes et c'est réglé!

Location on the water

We love this location right on the beach. The rooms aren’t super modern but are clean and comfortable. For a multiple night stay we don’t think it gets much better - price, location, big rooms with kitchenettes - we like it all.

Check in was easy. Room was clean with a great view of the beach. Walls were a little marked up, looked like there may have been a headboard at one point. Table was scratched up. Personally didn’t bother me at all. Newer tap in kitchen sink and bathroom updated. Best coffee I have ever had in any hotel/motel/resort that I have stayed in. I plan to revisit in a month and bring my little dog. Great value for the price. You can’t go wrong staying here.

Older building but has been renovated nicely. Great view of the ocean.

View was great, so nice to be next to the ocean at a inexpensive price tag. Rooms had updated fixtures and appliances. It was clean and had everything we needed to make a light meal or snacks. The front door was ill fitting to the frame, I had to shove it pretty good to open it. The visible gaps around side and bottom were quite drafty and I would have felt better if there was a deadbolt for safety. The overactive heat register made up for any draft, no matter how much I turned down the heat it still felt a bit warm for my liking. The room was not at all sound proof, but the white noise from bathroom fan drowned out the beeping from the crosswalk on the street and car noise quite well. Overall for the price I paid to stay there I would go back again.

Priceless views of the beach and the mountains. All from the balcony. Very faint traffic noise from the 19A. I especially loved my deep bath tub. The motel was so cosy and quiet. Well, that’s BC in January!
