The quality of the materials and finisches is very bad. The hotel is not new, but in bad conditions. The floor was just rising. The price is too high for the quality.

Clean, great air conditioning. No one came for room service but provoded anything we needed upon request

We walked around barefoot in the room and our feet were dirty from the floor. The floor in the bedroom was loose and would pinch your feet when stepped on a certain way and/or cut your foot since it is laminate. A sun shade for the patio would have been nice. The staff was awesome. Overall, I would recommend a stay here. It is close to old San Juan.

We had such a great time, staff was super friendly, the rooms were so comfortable, and love that you're dog friendly! we will be back :)

The hotel was great for our family of 4 and two other families that we were traveling with. It was a 15-20 min walk one way to Old San Juan and about the same distance the other way to the beach. The rooftop was a great place to wind down after a day out. And we loved that our unit had a kitchenette and large outdoor patio. The hotel also accommodated with a 2nd pull out couch for our two kids.

It’s a new, very well kept little hotel with a rooftop jacuzzi and restaurant. Views of the bay and a Ferris wheel. It’s not as close to the charming parts of Old San Juan as we wished, but we walked there one day (in about 30 minutes) and the hotel concierge drove us there and picked us up in their “shuttle” (a fun yellow golf cart!) the other times. Great concierges!!! There’s a very small gym - not enough room to even turn around- but I borrowed some weights and took them to the rooftop to work out, then returned them. Our room had a comfortable bed and a comfortable pullout couch and kitchenette.

Really good place

Great location, just a short walk from Old San Juan. We walked late at night and always felt safe. Very basic hotel, but has everything you need. Staff was wonderful. Parking on sight was super convenient. Great breakfast spot five minutes away called Tostada. Air conditioner worked and water was hot. Bed sheets and towels were clean and room was tidy.

The hotel room was spacious, which gave a nice sense of openness upon arrival. However, it was immediately clear that the hotel is older and in need of maintenance. Pieces of the ceiling were visibly falling, and the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept or mopped in some time. The bathroom didn’t have any toilet paper, and I had to call the front desk just to get some. While the hotel did serve its basic purpose, it’s not a place I would choose to stay at again. I also requested room service during their posted hours, but when I returned, the room hadn’t been touched. Overall, it feels like the hotel is operating on very thin margins, and the quality and upkeep definitely reflect that.

The property was clean and the staff was very helpful. We especially loved the service we received from Joseph. He was very knowledgeable and helpful! We rented a car, but we didn’t end up using it to drive much due to limited parking. We were able to walk through old San Juan from the location.

Utter disappointment in all ways. Unsafe location, shared room (2BR converted into hotel room), bathroom water seeping into bedroom, bathroom door had a key from inside as it wouldnt lock. $330 per night!!!! i wouldnt stay for free!! To solve the leakage issue, the management sent towels to place on the floor.

The hotel was ok and servicable, but the air conditioner never turned off the whole time during stay. Which was nice while sleeping but freezing at all other times.

The staff were very kind and helpful. Definitely recommending to family & friends. Thank you.

Hotel Puerto Valdes is so intimate and beautiful!!! I was in awe of the entire building!! The smell and cleanliness was up to my standard which is normally set pretty high. I enjoyed the professionalism of the building and will definitely return.

Was noisy at times because the door wouldn’t lock from the people in Room 1. Kept slamming door during late hours.
