Traditionell gammal pub i pytteliten by. Rum med gammal standard, mycket märkligt "badrum"- trångt, plastigt och gammalt. Fri parkering. Bra pris. Vänlig personal, god mat i puben och jättegod frukost!

Really friendly staff, great beer, a comfy bed and a quiet night's sleep - followed by a good breakfast.

Due to circumstances I had to leave. Everybody, including one of the guests, did everything they could to help me. These People are in my heart.

We had a warm and friendly welcome, the food was excellent, the service excellent, friendly and super helpful both evening and at breakfast. The staff are certainly the stars of the show. The room was clean along with a generous bathroom. We found the mattress uncomfortable but may have been heaven to others. Yes, the property is a little dated but suited our needs. The location was convenient on the A68 in a quiet village peaceful setting next to a pretty river. This pub was also very dog friendly, dogs allowed in bar for mealtimes, with lots of wee walks around to keep the pups happy. It was great value for money, this was my second stay and would go back again, it’s a great half way B & B to Aberdeen.

Check in was awkward, lacked a warm welcome. Our room was spacious and the decor was welcoming, however little issues, eg at least one wall needs repainting, extension lead has to be used to plug in kettle. Single glazing with paint flaking windows. Breakfast was excellent with cheerful staff. Some love and attention to room could have improved our stay.

A lovely little village pub/hotel, nice food, nice beer & nice staff. Very friendly/helpful. Great location if you're in/about the Keilder Forest. Good value for money. If i had one gripe, (not a biggie - but for visability) my room was directly above the pool table & bar speakers, and i could everything very clearly. I was after an early night for an event the next day & could hear the bar music quite clearly. It did all stopped at closing time though. Otherwise - It wouldnt stop me going back.

Simple check in as I had paid in advance. The key was already in the door so I was just welcomed and then directed.

Nice neighborhood pub atmosphere. Bathroom in our room was extremely small but the bed was extremely comfortable!

Stayed here as it was close to Woodhill Hall, wedding venue. The place was lovely and the staff were so welcoming. We stayed for 2 nights and it really is good value for money.

The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late. The toilet area is really tiny, but the rooms are lovely.
