Location was great, having a pull out couch worked really well for us. There was an issue with the water when we arrived, but they were great at communicating and fixed it really quickly.. Once we figure out where the free breakfast was, it was great as well. Nice to have fresh fruit and cooked to your request eggs without having to go find a place to sit. And allow us to spend more. Time doing other things. Would definitely stay again. We were lucky enough to find some free parking nearby but otherwise I wasn’t sure where to park..

Great stay! The hotel is in a perfect location, making it easy to explore the area. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly, and we really appreciated being allowed to check in early, which made our trip much more enjoyable after a long journey. The only minor issue was that the bathroom blind couldn’t close properly, which affected privacy a little. Other than that, everything was excellent.

PRO: Excellent location, adequate room comfort CON: … No 24-hour on-site personnel. Only way to make contact was through a phone number. … Entryway was quite small and difficult to navigate with luggage as was the stairway which was narrow, curved and 18 steps up to the second floor. … No parking at the establishment itself but available at nearby public pay-to-park garages. … When we consistently had trouble over a 24-hour period finding the garage where our car was parked, the innkeeper was initially helpful but she was less and less helpful after numerous phone calls giving us the same information repeatedly, telling us that we were being unreasonable, finally telling us that she would no longer help us as it was our responsibility to know where we parked our car. Turns out she had given us the address to the WRONG garage. We finally had to contact the police to help us find our car. For sure there was responsibility on both us and the innkeeper in what was an extremely, extremely upsetting situation, but her insistence in repeatedly giving us the same incorrect information and not really listening to what we were saying seriously exacerbated a stressful situation.

Staying here is a very convenient location. However, the Wi-Fi in the room was terrible. Breakfast on day one was one Fried egg and one frozen hash brown . The constant buzz of the heat pump/ air con drove me crazy in the room . The furniture and floors felt gross and dirty . We paid some random property fee which Expedia said was a hold and the property said it’s a fee and won’t be returned. We stayed three nights and were definitely let down considering the glowing reviews . The stairs are steep and the main door was left wide open and not locked . This made me feel very uncomfortable. We didn’t once get asked if we needed anything . Pillows kept falling out of the pillow cases and the bed wasn’t comfortable at all . I wish I had something positive to share besides the location.

The place was clean and convenient. It was a converted home so be aware that the bathroom was very narrow and the shower was tiny. Breakfast was very good and the bed was comfortable.

Great location, we enjoyed our stay. Found parking nearby at $25 per day. Breakfast was included and basic but good. Stairs are very steep and narrow, would be difficult for some to navigate with luggage. Internet very poor. Issues with second inside door latching close.

There is never staff or someone to greet you. The room and bathroom were very small. The towels were old. Other than that, the room looked charming, and best of all, the location was perfect.

This place had some bad reviews and it worried me when we went. The truth is that the property is very European. The complaints on the bathroom being small, makes me feel like people have never been overseas. The bathroom was small but that is the style. These properties are stuck together and have minimal space, hence the experience of being in an old European style city. The bed was amazing, the old windows were beautiful and it’s on a side street with minimal traffic (except garbage pickup is loud). We didn’t have breakfast on site because we are early risers and no one stirs until well after 8am in Old Quebec. We enjoyed the city and the parking was close to the property as well ($24/day)

This is a unique property in a very convenient location. We really enjoyed our experience as we appreciate non traditional venues. The proprietor was very nice and even allowed us to access our room earlier than check in since it was available. The stairs to the second floor are steep and narrow, so a traveler with physical limitations would need to stay on the first floor.
