First time to Male and I should have done more research. I figured the location being close to the beach would be great but phase ii island is under lots of construction and doesn't have the services that phase I has so this is a great location if you want steps. The noise from construction and the road noise was constant. The room cooled well, but the bathroom stayed a little warm. Most of the staff were extremely hospitable and did what they could to make the stay better under the circumstances. As phase ii builds out and there are more services and infrastructure setup, this could be a great hotel. If I had to go back right now, I would pick a hotel in phase I, from the middle to closer to the airport to have nicer beach access and closer proximity to various snorkel and Scuba companies. Also the wifi, while free, was extremely slow and almost unusable.
