Excellent apartment and great location. Host was helpful when I had a few questions.

Perfect location. Room was good. Nothing fancy...didnt need it to be. Check in was easy and clear instructions were communicated. We were fortunate that adequate parking was on-site. However, note that there are 5 spaces for 6 rooms and all 5 were filled the first night so i dont know if someone missed out or not. There is more parking available in Oban but I am not aware if it would have been free or convenient. Just be aware...

Raniven is clean, well maintained, and nicely located in Oban. Electrical and plumbing fixtures are modern—plenty of outlets and good shower. Staff member was quite responsive when we phoned with a question.

A nice clean room with a comfy bed and nice bedding. Room 4 is pretty small and I was only in it on my own and struggled a bit for space. The two chairs provided have low backs so personally for me, not comfy. A bigger, higher table or unit would be much better for making tea and coffee. The small table was so low and awkward. Overall a good stay though!

When 1st arrived very tired after 7 hour journey ,key lock box would not open with code,had to phone then leave message,no answer back so left message on web site eventually call back after 25 minutes had to go round to car park to get spare key out of another lock box 45 minutes to get into room Room 4 is small. Needs a better table for tea and coffee area. Bed linen is needing renewed as looking rather grey and tired.Toilet bowl and inside seat needs cleaned better. Bathroom door sticks and difficult to open . Grandson panicked as he couldnt get out. Every time other guest went in or out ,our door rattles and got a few frights when sleeping. View out window onto annex with black plastic wall and wooden struts. I would return here as value for money o.k ,but it does need a bit of care to the fabric of the building.

Average - good sized room, very small bathroom (sitting on toilet and legs hit sink), and staying two days on with two people & provided one small bottle of body wash & shampoo. Heat didn’t work in room, and slow response to queries. Location good, but limited parking. Would look for alternatives before going again.

The room was fine.

Great place to stay in Oban with safe parking for motorbikes. Very short walk to the centre of town. Very comfy bed, kitchen well stocked with equipment needed. Only down side was the sofa looks great but is not the most comfortable.

Raniven Guest House was a lovely place to stay—beautiful room, easy walk to dining places . I loved staying there.

The property was fine, a good location within Oban but several things were slightly awry. There was no information in regard to safety procedures inside the room or any information whatsoever about Oban and places to go etc. We had to phone up to get the wifi password which eventually dropped out for 24 hrs and we had to hotspot off my phone to glean info about who to contact. Additionally, we had to contact the owner about a fire alarm in a room other than ours and then was asked to help turn it off. The bathroom was tiny and having to sit sidesaddle on the toilet due to the sink being too close was interesting!!! Having said all that it could be a great place to stay with a little more attention to the details above.
